I would bet some of it will be 4 years old...before it hits the shelves ...
I can also see some of it getting repackaged possibly thru a 3rd party company...
and the packaging date that they stamp will be the new effective date....
I have a buddy who works for one of these repackaging companies...they do a lot of products like pet foods and
tooth paste, rolled oats etc etc...and just change the stuff into new bags or different sized bags... and it all gets a new packaging date....hmmmmm

LOL ^

It is important to understand that we are responsible for safe storage of firearms in Canada, not secure storage. This may seem like semantics, but the difference is huge.

10-22 was probably the best 22 i ever owned. I loved the 30 and 50 shot clips ;) but we were shooting at targets and such.

So true. You cannot stop a thief, you can only slow them down.
Despite the fact that the law is very clear about this, the police are not - and they have often laid bogus charges of unsafe storage.

Prime example; an Ontario firearms expert, PAL/RPAL instructor, and major collector of firearms was on vacation in Florida with his wife a few years back.

While he was gone, thieves broke into his apartment and spent 3 days breaking into his vault. Drills, saws, torches, etc. at the scene. Just imagine the goddamned noise they were making.

Many thousands of dollars worth of firearms were stolen.

Police at the scene charged the (absent) owner with unsafe storage of firearms, despite the fact that the vault FAR EXCEEDS the safe storage laws in Canada.

The owner has not returned to Canada, due to an outstanding warrant for his arrest, and he cannot make an insurance claim on the losses without the police report.

How fucked is that? And it all comes down to one asshole cop who didn't know the law.
