Anyone here ever use light movers ? Do they preform well enough to eliminate a light ? I used one in the past with good results.

See I was going to buy the remote gavita DE ballasts and run them in the DE adjusta wing. Total size is 20x20x8.5 chopped in half 10x10x8.5...I seen the concerns about those 400v bulbs but some correction is possible with a wider spread reflector

I would upgrade your fans to min 8'', or even better 10'' or 12'' on a vfd (to control speed) 850cfm min.

Venting the room will not control temps as needed. You will still need A/C or air cooled hoods for DE bulbs

Yes, back in the day I would use a sun circle in a 10x10 room. 1 mh, with 2 hps rotating around it. Good results, not great.

There's no way I could get that 5ton installed currently...should just go single ended hps? I can go 8 inch no problem

Do you think they compromise things too much with the lowered amount of overall lumens.
I'm always trying to think of a way to less the hydro input and get the same results.

You could go DE if your heart desires...just more $$$, but unless your installing A/C, air cooling is really the only practical option.

Growing indoors you never compromise the quality of light your plants need. One day LED will be the new standard of indoor horticulture, my opinion is that we are just not there yet. Newer digi ballasts and de bulbs can reduce your consumption, or try stepping down to a 600w de, I've seen 2lbs per 600w multiple times, and even 9lbs from 3 600w over 2 4x8 tables. Replacing to a high efficient shade will increase efficiency/production, in a horizontal fixture 80% of the light footprint comes from the shade/reflector.

now how would you patent the idea for the "U grow It" places so a big company can't run you off...if a big company gets a hold of it, it could price itself out of our reach and only be a rec growers market.
hmmmm again
I understand why you'd even think this but it sounds kinda lp ish.
Who cares if someone else opens more of these or franchises it out.
The more of them that would exist would be better for the collective.
Good people good service and a fair price make for good business.
McDonald's never patented a shit burger and they still made some mcbucks
