today as i walked though my town an old local shop was being gutted to my amazement there was a 600 watt hps self ballast lamp in the skip i asked work man if i could have and they gave it to me. it was very dirty and i didnt think for one sec it would work but guess fucking what it did man heres pics excuse grow room was half built.

the light is to big man these things kick out some heat dam it have to wait for 2 weeks to get my 2x200watt evirolights=(

saved u afew quid. But as u say they kick out a hore of a heat. im having afew heat issues myself (as uve prob saw in posts). Dam, and i only have a 250 so i can imagine what the 600 is like. Your house will be the only house in your street with no snow on it in the winter lol.I find that im counting your days for flowering lol and not my own. should be very impressive, cant wait to see.

she was good for me germinated within 4 hours then 4 hours later had my seed leafs i cant remeber exactly how long its been was around start of march about second week in she was planted as a back up plant as i had a pot of gold plant growing that turned out to be male bummer! so around 10 weeks from seed to finsh veg then 12/12 started so its been around 13 weeks total should have vegged her extra 2-3 weeks as she was behind the pot gold but only had one light and couldnt do 2 light cycles but i am happy she doing me proud. Good luck been watching yours looking good so far keeping going and i hope all yours turned out like mine. P.S she really started stinking now so be warned you may need cf filter with how many you doing=)

you sure it 30c that around 87f mate?I opted for water cooled HPS 400 W lamp heat sheilding too dont want my house to glow no problems with heat stable at 30C

i am hoping it is red hairs forming as i did check the lamp with my hand and as it got hotter moved it further away was very careful but it was so dam hot in that room thats why i have my suspisions it could be burnt? hps will not be used to big for what i need. heres pics pls tell me what you think.

Is 30c the right temp? i had trouble with mine at 28c, mind you its probaly air circlation im lacking...look ok to me, tad burnt, but im not an expert 
10weeks from germination to flowering. Any reason for that or is it cos its ment to be 10weeks? i didnt think it was that long. i was going to start flowering when plants are half the size i want the to be.

i have always been taught 40 days of veg fromthe time you have your first set of seven leafs so thats what i do like i said i wanted to go longer but was backup plant bigger plants equal more bud=) its choice and what space you have at end of day cannabis can be put into flower at any stage in its life cycle. ahh i see. you say there 40days to first set of 7fingered leaves. My 7leaves are through now, what does this mean, if anything lol
yeah my downfall is lack of space, i wish i had more
going to invest in CFLs myself
PS do u cut your plants back? you know the new leaves that come from the stem, or do u just let em grow?
