white widow vs ak47

I'm a newbee to growing and I was going to try and do both strains. 4 widows and 4 AK under 1k hps in 5*5 closet. I'm growing DWC and I was wondering if I should try both or just pick the most potent of the two and roll with it. Which of these two strains is the most potent and should I do 8 plants 4 of each or 4 plants 1 strain. Which would I benefit from most.

Get both, but don't grow both at the same time. I always try to buy all my seeds, one time, once a year or whatever, so as to reduce risk. I'm growing AK47 X Black Dominia right now, so I can't speak for the AK, but the Widow... WOW, one of my all time faves! From what I have read the AK is supposed to be just as stellar. The Widow puts off TONS of triches, hence the name, so she is also an excellent source for hash making!

Reason I said don't grow them both at the same time... Because you want as even of a canopy as possible. If you have one strain that is taller than another you will have to raise your lights, thus limiting the light to the smaller plant. Light intensity diminishes very rapidly the farther away it is, it's called the [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] Inverse Square Rule. Google it, and you will understand how it will have an effect on the smaller plants.

Dr Greenthumb uses those two to compare the strength of his strains to. He rates them as equal strength. (He alsao rates many of his strains as higher than them too BTW)

or just buy the strain from serious, which is prolly a tad more stable

never tried ak, heard nothing but good things though
AS for White widdow, one of my top favorite strains wold definitely recommend it

Very good point fatality! But I would still grow them separately, Vonkins, because of the unknown height factor. Just take pollen and freeze it, it stays viable indefinitely really, as long as you don't get it wet.

yah, if you like both of them, why not go with the white russian? its a cross of the two, and i'm growing one now, and its a super hearty plant, and its looking super so far.. can't wait to give her a taste in about forty days or so..

im downto 5 lil white russians now, bought the 11 from tude but my own laziness made the others die from lack of waterin, you all gotta treat them sprouts like kids dammit, or they will die and not ever become sexy little whores spreadin they snatches all around
