White Widow Specifics

I will be setting up a rather sizable grow operation with eventually 24 flowering White Widow plant under the Screen of Green method. I understand that all strains originate for the same genus, thus similar approaches should be used to cultivate ALL strains, i.g. controlled temperatures, pH, humidity, light levels etc.

This being say, does anyone have strain specific techniques/approaches for cultivating White Widow that have resulted in quality harvests and high yields.

Thanks,
Patrick

if your environment is good and you use your nutes right and ph correctly and all that good stuff you will have a nice harvest. all you can do is go for it and try, everyone is different and has different situations for their grow environment. as for techniques and what not, there is several things you can try like different topping methods and such but it all comes down to what you want to do. i have never grown ww and am currently on my first grow, growing white berry, lsd and og kush but i have learned quite a bit so far. really the only way i see you will get too many answers is to search the forum for white widow grows. i will help you out with that, here is the absolute best way to search rollitup. i figured this out one day because i hate the forum search feature and i usually use google to search sites like this because google does a better job. try going to google and typing site:rollitup.org white widow
i just did it and got several thousand relevant results. replace white widow with other keywords to find other stuff. hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick reply. Also thanks for the search tip! I too will be constructing my first grow. Its amazing how much I have learning in these last 4 weeks. I've been performing roughly 6-8 hours of research 5 days a week. That being said this will be my first grow and I'll surely make mistakes, however I feel very confident in what I have learning and the equipment I will be using.

Per your note on OG KUSH: I am getting some seeds for this strain and will be adding them to my veg room once they get rooted. I have no personal smoking experience with OG, but am doing it per my partners request as there is heavy demand for this strain in her area. From what I've heard everyone seems to think this is a superior grade A strain. Did you intentionally pick it, or was it as result of random events as to why you chose OG? IF so do you believe it to be the perfect strain? Sorta wondering what all the hype is for :D

no problem, glad i could help. well i bought the og kush #18, i guess its a little different but i have never smoked any og. i have seen alot of people talk about it on here and i have seen it around my area but i just bought this og 18 just because i wanted to try it out. the next 2 strains i plan on buying is querkle and i want to buy some jack berry from sannies seeds. i also never have tried these they just look good to me. i am looking very forward to smoking the og and the lsd. i hear lsd is real awesome shit but we will see. i am still in veg and i will probably go into flower by the end of the month so i still have awhile to wait. the og is also a 9 week strain which i dont like because the others are 8 week strains and kinda throws off my perpetual setup but it will work lol. if you ever need anything feel free to pm me. im no expert but i know quite a bit and may be able to help with some stuff. i am more than happy to spread any of my knowledge i have learned from others on here.

I will tell you if it is your first grow i would start with something other than the widow If you really want to devote part of your grow to it but get something that is easy to grow. Something like a good Ak strain or another stout indica. It has been my experience that White Widow is a very delicate breed. I actually recently eliminated it from my garden, which honestly, I hated to do but i had to in order to remain compliant with medical MJ laws :(. Great results though if you treat WW right i will say that! good luck!

Yeah she's picky depending on which phenotype you got.
I will say this, start your nutrients at a maximum of half strength and only up the dosage in small increments over time. Also flush your system or soil out very regularly. I have a grip of this going right now and I burnt the piss out of the first batch just following the directions on the nutrient bottle. From what I've discovered she is very sensitive to salt build up and nutrients. I had Big Bud going on the same grow and it never had any issues on the same feed. I had to set it up to feed separately to avoid burning the WW...
