White spots...

.. I have little white spots on my one and only plant, right. I know what you're all about to chime-in with, "Read the stickies" Well, quite frankly, I can't be fucked. The plant's not in danger, it's just stopping it looking flawless.

It's only a bubba - half a foot I guess, and there're no bugs visible. Even if you sneak-up on it, and ruffly the leaves, no flies, or other bugs fly off.

Just though, off-hand, someone might know what could be uglying-up my plant, is all.

Edit: I've just lined up an ounce for $200, so I don't much care how many bugs get on it - I'm like that :)

Unless I can grow POUNDS, I'd - in all honesty - rather buy respectable buds, paying someone else to take the risk :)

do the spots come off of are they damaged leaves....got a pic?

do you have a scope to check them with top/ bottom of leaves.

sounds like whitefly or spidermites or some other aphid. i'd quarantine that plant asap and get some ladybugs. spider mites didn't work for me, neem oil and sprays are ok if ur in veg, can't use em on the buds and the mites just fuck off there eventually

Nah they're damaged, but it's almost dark here now, and I've still got the plant hidden, cos we got visitors over for dinner.

I can take a pic of her/him tomorrow though :)

It's only maybe half a dozen spots total, over two or three leaves, same size as white-flie bites, but no white-flies.

Can't buy any seeds tonight like I was gunna: GOtta hold on to my $200 for tomorrows ounce, sadly :( know what they say a bird in the hand's worth though :) Buds or seed order.. MMMM that's a real stumper! /smirk

half and half it man !! if ur rooms in darkness just now thats perfect! take a torch or light or something and shine it under the leaves, look from above and u'll spot the mites straight away. they'll be black dots possible moving slowly

Cute avatar dood :)

Well there's only one single plant - and that one plant's only 6 inches or so tall (though it's been tipped, so it's a twin-tower juvenile :), it's normal place is outside, in a small fenced area, and it shares the back yard with a vege patch, some semi-hydro enthenogens, and trees etc,..

So it'll be hard to isolate. But like I said, it's only about 6 spots max, so they're not exactly kicking the plants arse :) In fact, they're the only flaws on the entire plant, which is the only reason I even noticed them :)

The poor plant. It was only one of two seeds in an antire OUNCE I bought, right, and the dog killed the first seedling, so I planted that one. Then, in my HASTE to start-off more plants, I stupidly tried taking two clones off it when it was only around 3 inches tall. The cuttings were about 1 inch long each, .. of course they died, and the plant was so young, it didn't have the vigor to handle the set-back so soon in it's tiny life. So for about 4 weeks, it just sat there.. barely growing.

THen about a week ago, maybe 10 days, I re-planted it from the perlite/vermiculite mix it was in, to a beautiful airy organic mix (Potting-mix, Perlite, little verm., and a good portion of peat) and since then, it's just been cranking :)

So though it's only about 6-8 inches now, it's been gaining by about a half inch a day :)

Two more months, and she'll need to be tied down or something to conceal her from the neighbours :)

so they're on new growth????? thats definitely bugs of some description. if there was a root problem or problem in your medium it would affect your plant from the bottom up. get some neem oil spray, its cheap enough and wont do any damage and might stop a pending infestation.

only take cuttings from mature plants4-6 weeks veg...they have the right hormones to root...not 3" young ones...lol

yeah it's definately not the medium: Ever since reading Ed Rosenthals Marijuana Growers Handbook, I've never mixed a bad mix :) Always use the Squeeze test, till It's as light as I like it :)

and it's at least tripled in overall volume, since being repotted into the new mix/bigger pot :)

Everyone likes the neem oil huh :) .. I'll have to get some.. Last bug plant spray I bought was Pyrethrum: remembering it was natural, but it doesn't just kill the bugs: It wipes out the plants too :(

it certainly makes the plants look like shit, anyhoo.. no matter WHICH type of plant you spray it on.

[TD="align: left"]Don’t Bug Me[SUP]®[/SUP] is a fast, effective solution for most common garden pests. Because its active ingredient is Pyrethrum, which is derived from chrysanthemum flowers, it can be applied up to the day of harvest on any fruit or vegetable. Don’t Bug Me[SUP]®[/SUP] kills aphids, whitefly, and other insects on contact by damaging their nervous systems, and even at lower levels it will keep pests away. Best of all, Don’t Bug Me[SUP]®[/SUP] breaks down quickly and does not persist in the environment. FoxFarm is proud to offer a safe, modern, natural insect spray that can be used indoors and out. Garden Tip: Make the right diagnosis before you spray. Damage can also be caused by diseases or nutritional deficiencies. If you’re not sure, take a cutting from a damaged plant, seal it tightly in a plastic bag, and take it to the nursery for identification. If a plant has been damaged or just seems to be in poor health, try a root drench of Big Bloom™ Liquid Fertilizer to revive it after you treat the problem. Choose a time when wind will not direct the spray away from the plant, and avoid spraying in the heat of the day, when sunlight can cause the product to dissipate quickly. Hold the bottle 12 inches away and spray lightly, being sure to cover both sides of the leaf. Insects must be sprayed directly to be killed, but there is no need to over-saturate the plant—a little goes a long way.

I never knew that. :)

Now I do, anyway, I was desperate to clone the sucker sooner rather than later - so I'd (in theory) have three before summer gets too far gone :)

I figured you could strike cuttings from any age vege growth. Mmmmm
