White Russian Final Two Weeks: Question

Hi All. Have a couple questions I’m hoping you can answer, but first some background:

I have 2 Auto White Russians growing in an Aerogarden. They are both 57 days from seed (8 weeks), and have been flowering for 5 weeks. The 2 plants are very different from each other. One is short (8”) with no branching and looks like one big giant bud, where the other is taller (13”) with a lot of branching and many fairly large bud heads. The pistils on the shorter plant have begun to turn orange fairly quickly, maybe 15-20% already, while the taller plant is still packing on buds and has very few orange pistils. Last, the tall plant has much more trichomes than the short fat one, difficult to tell whether they are clear or milky, but I would say they are becoming milky, even with the 30x loop its tricky to determine. Maybe once they begin to go amber, it will be easier to tell, and that is not happening yet on either.

Anyhow, here are my questions, they deal with timing out the last 2 weeks before harvest. This is a bit confusing as it seems the short plant seems more mature by about a week than the taller one.

My plan was to do 2 two week flush of plain water previous to harvest. Additionally I intend to give the plants no light in their final 48 hours before harvest as I hear this increases trichome production significantly. So my question is should I ignore the visible maturity of the buds and keep them on the same light and nute schedule for both and expect the more mature plant to just be a little more mature at harvest? Or should I try to harvest them separately? A separate harvest would require me to do the 48 hour dark period on both and then return lights after harvesting the one plant, as well as potentially leaving the larger plant with no nutrients for a third week? Will this situation cause me problems? I guess this is one drawback to AG growing as the plants are always going to be linked to the same light /nute schedule regardless of their individual progress.

Otherwise these plants have exceeded my expectations and I have no regrets using an Aerogarden. Thanks, I look forward to your input.

Got that info from the site I got the seeds from:

"Auto White Russian will frost up most during the last few weeks of its life and 48 hours of darkness just prior to harvest will maximise this" -- Attitude Seeds

Hell, if it's not true then that's cool, one less thing to consider, but I think this is harvest weekend so I am going to go ahead and give it a try anyhow. Will post here if there is an appreciable effect. Doesn't really matter since they are super glazed with trichs anyhow!!!
