9 Litre pots with a mixture of torn up rockwool and hydroton, with a 1" hydroton layer to block light on top.
Hand watered to waste with the runoff sucked out of the saucer via the sauce bottle in the pics
The plants are all LST, not scrog - but i have added a few pieces of unsupported steel mesh in the last week
to push the branches apart a little more. They were originally tied down much more horizontal than this but delays caused them to grow huge and i had to let them go back up or i'd have no room to move or work on them.
This is very late to start my grow journal, sorry about the lack of earlier pics.
I have grown twice indoors before but that was about 10 years ago so this is the third grow total.
These plants were veg'd for 6 or 8 weeks from clones (I can't remember sorry!)
After changing to 12/12, the plants turned extremely yellow and all the pistils died and burned away to nothing.
It turned out the PH meter was dodgy and once i corrected everything they came right.
Unfortunately though this meant that there was no new pistil growth for 4 weeks.
They are now at the end of week 10 of 12/12 but because of the delay they are actually only at the end
of week 6 of flowering so plenty left to go.
I had a humidity problem which i have now fixed, but my buds have started to smell a little like mildew/wet laundry etc. A lot of people say that's just what some buds smell like and it'll be fine in the end but i'm pretty concerned. I can't find ANY trace of mold or fungus anywhere, including inside the biggest colas.
If i bend a bud open and smell inside it smells strong and piney like it should, but the first sniff on the outside of the bud smells a bit off and so does the first sniff of the room itself.
Any advice on what to do regarding the potential mold issue? I would be gutted to lose this crop now.
Can the smell go away by itself with improved ventilation and lowered humidity?
Or do i need to spray something on them ASAP?
Also do these look ok for the end of week 6?
I initially set my goal as 1 pound (Although i'd be happy with 8 oz)
But i'm thinking i may have to expect less than that with the issues they've had.
There does seem to be quite a bit of bud though.
Last question - Any estimations of yield? the canopy is about 1m x 1.2m square, maybe a little bigger.
They have just been defoliated the night before to improve airflow and light to the lower buds.
