White mold on top of grow medium

Looks like vermiculite, previously used to grow mushrooms. Do yall usually see that kinda fungi using clonex or mycorhizzal? Last i used coco coir an clonex, I pretty much always had that white mycelium looking stuff and it did actually smell mushroomy.

I saw someone cover them w foil, but it seems like if there is less air flow, then more likely for it to happen again. As long as it won't harm my girls, I'm just going to remove it and top up w fresh vermiculite.

Am I being paranoid or does it look like it's on my flowers also?
The tip on that leaf looks like it could be powdery mildew, but then I just had problems of my own in my room, and now everything looks like mildew to me and people are having to talk me out of chopping down plants and burning down my house.

But yah, that white powdery looking leaf is something to watch. Any other white powdery spots near by that one?

Edit: The leaf below it with the brown tips, looks like it might have a bit of white-ish coloring along the edges that are dying as well. What do you see?

I highlighted the spots I thought I saw in your picture.

When I look at the leaves, I'm not seeing anything. I just thought I saw it in the lower flower maybe. What did you do with yours that had it on the leaves? Were you able to fix it?

Sorry man, I've probably worried you for no reason and have no real advice to give.

I have been popping in to read any mold and PM threads I see so I can see other pictures and get a better idea of what to look for. I noticed white-ish on the leaves and thought I should comment, but honestly, I am very inexperienced.

In my own situation I was close to finished, and had other plants to fall back on. I chopped it a bit early. I tried to do an H2O2 wash and dry, messed that up badly, and decided to just trash the 180 grams, it was sad, I said a few words, and have some fond memnories of watching her grow. I'm over it and lookng forward to doing better next time in a cleaned room with better environment. I was running a bit hot, and had humidity spikes I've evened out.

What I hope for you, is that I am either wrong (Camera flash can sometimes make things show up that aren't there), or that someone with more experience will be able to comment and provide advice if I was right.

Hope I'm just plain wrong!

No worries. I definitely see what you are talking about in the pic. For some reason, when I look at it in person, it looks like trichomes and not the same as the mold in the grow medium. I'll keep an eye on her. I appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge and suggestions. I'll definitely keep an eye out on her.
That sucks about your girl. That would have been heart breaking for me also!

That is what someone else said on another forum. I do fill my reservoir up high, so it may be soaking it up. I'll keep my water levels lower to see if it helps. Thanks!

I didn’t see it until you pointed it out. I battled that shit a few times and the tip of that top leaf looks a lot like the stuff I had going on. I wetted a paper towel and wiped what I could off with the paper towel, discarding into a trash bag immediately. Then I cut off the leaf after wiping down. Trying not to disturb any spores
I may have missed.
