Your plants will stretch no matter what when you flip. Mine stretched for about 2 weeks and then stopped. I did allot of super-cropping and bending to keep the height of my Sativas under control. The little stretch is good when you have your calyxes swelling like woah.

Try to minimize stress on that plant. Its the best way to prevent a hermie, but controlling conditions to influence sex come in the first month or so from what i've read. I haven't had any experience trying to really influence seeds.
