White fungus on my SS mix

I mixed up a bunch of SS according to Subcools recipe using FF OF. I put the mix in a black plastic trash can with a lid and left it for a few days in the sun. I just opened it and I find there is a light frost of white mold around the edges. Is this a problem?

that's just the soil webbing its normal. whether its actually beneficial or just incidental is debatable.

Most likely they are the hyphal strands of fungus and are probably the good guys decomposing organic material into a yummy biomass of available nutrients.

@hashbro & @kushking.

Thanks. That's what I hoped to hear. I was afraid I was going to have to throwout the whole batch :)

Its soil webbing its a good thing it means you have lots of micros in your soil. I thought the same thing when i first saw them but trust me its a very good thing

thats incorrect. cobweb mold and benificials are not the same thing.
