hey i just got home and decided i might as well upgrade to a bigger grow box. got to more lights so 5 lights on one plant. should turn out well

hah. gonna be using 3 23watts n 2 13 watts till monday then im gonna get 2 more 23 watts. i want to get some bigger lights but i need to figure out what the heat stays at during the 12 on hours. ill put some pics up of the finished box. and i am gonna line it with tin foil and i know ill get heat from everyone bout doin it but its cheap. its easy to get. and i havent had it burn a plant yet. but n e ways ima get to work. peace out.

yea i have thought bout using those but the space im using right now wouldnt allow it. would get serious heat issues. im gettin my own place by the end of this summer so ill be switching to veg under cfls then flowering with a 400 watt hps. got my 400 hps, ballast and socket for a grinder haha. pretty pumped for my next grow. heard some good things bout flowering under hps. but i would be goin for 5000 lumens to 50 000 so i imagine its gonna be well worth the 15$ extra on my bill hah.

for a grinder what a good deal ha ha and yeah you will be surprised ive never used cfls but i do use t-8's but for mothers.. the difference between florescent and HID is night and day def worth the extra electric$$

lol t-8's, are those tubes? i used cfls with other grows n wit 2 23 watts a plant i got over a oz a plant and i harvested early. gonna love the HPS i can tell already but for the time being CFL's do the job.

just a pic of a 400 watt HPS and a 45 watt CFL. i wanna get four of those 45 watts cuz there 3000 lumens. i use 23 watts that put out 1350 lumens. so the 23 watts puts out 59 lumens a watt and the 45 puts out 67 lumens per watt.

lol well i got a 45 watt cfl today so i added it. its a veg light, very blue but it has 3000 lumens and is actually very cool. got it givin to me so im not bein picky that it isnt in the red spectrum. gonna go get 3 red spectrum 45's just so theres a good mix. makin a good reflector 2morrow but heres a pic of a 45 watt cfl n 3 23 watt cfls.

just put some tinfoil on the inside of the box. made a new reflector. the reflector holds 3 lights. i got a 23 watt a 45 watt n a 23 watt. there is 5700 lumens right now. should be good till i get some more lights lol.

k well its 5 weeks flowering today, all goin well. some of the leaves are starting to yellow. this might be from the lack of nutrients or just from the maturity im not sure. . the buds r doin good. lots of crystal and fattening up pretty quickly. some of the buds have a good bit of hairs turning brown, i dont have a magnification piece so i cant look at the trics, yea i kno this is the best way 2 do it but kinda limited 2 how often i get out hah. i have read lots bout when the hairs r bout 70% brown or so its good to harvest but i wouuld like more opionions. n e one have there own way of detecting harvest time? here some pics.
