Anyone know what these suckers are? I think they are springtails. I have a fresh source for my worm castings....are these safe for my soil?

Thanks

They are springtails - they usually have high numbers when conditions are on the dry side.
They do no harm to living plants, they feed on dead plant matter :)

Thanks. I also found a few centapede looking things in that bucket but...it was in a worm farm...I imagine that bucket has its own ecosystem full of all kinds of life...other then worm poo

True, but - IIRC, then centipedes are predators. Kill them when you find them.

Just wait till/if you get your first mite infestation :p (knocks on wood)
