Which would be better? Dense or spread out canopy?

currently running 19 plants under 2000watts hps 13 days into flower. right now all the girls are packed together and the lights about 12" above the tops.

so the question is: should i spread them out a bit and raise the lights to promote more light to the bottoms of the girls, or keep em nice and tight with the lights the way they are?

take advantage over as much space as you have only get tight if space is tight nice lights
