Which way do you plant the seed???

WOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH... So today I checked up on the seeds at around 2 o' clock and 2 of them sprouted out of the ground. The funny thing is one of them that sprouted was the one that I dug up turned upside down, ripped the shell off, dug it up once more and ripped off some of the tap root. haha im very pleased though :mrgreen:

Oh one more question on average how often should i water them? Like whenever the soil becomes dry? like once a day or something?

Edit: Oh and i almost forgot the only that sprouted in the second picture, is like deformed somewhat both leaves are folded to one side. Should i try to pull them apart to the position they should naturally be in?(as you might of guess this is the one that took the beating)

I just drop mine in the dirt and do not worry about which way they are pointing. Never had any problems with any seeds not "righting themselves"....

Don't pull anything apart- just let them do their thing.
 
i would most deff. point the white root down.
in my first growing years i didnt know and just planted the seed.
few days later not only the sprout came up but the root came up along with it poking out of the soil creating a U shape.
i simply replanted and the plant did fine.
but for further reference ive always made sure to point the root down.
 
only take the shell off if after the seedling pops its head through the dirt,the shells still stuck to it and it wont come off and allow the false leaves to open up,,,it happens sometimes,,,but normally the shell will come off on its own,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,peace

You do NOT need to point the seed in any specific direction...I have planted plenty of seeds and I call B.S. on having to direct them.

agree that you do not have to. naturally the seed will know witch way to root and sprout. but if the seed has a larger root. say a quarter inch or more and you're about to plant it. i couldn't imagine not putting it so the root faces down.

You want it down and not up or sideways.... because if it's upside down it has to work harder to "right" itself.... if at all.

Last week I dug up a seed that had been planted for 12 days but had not sprouted. It was upside down and the tap root was still pointing up and it was pushing the seed down further into the peat pellet.

I'm sure some seeds can right themselves and sprout... but not all do... so increase your chances and carefully plant the tap root DOWN. :)

I totally agree with you, I experienced the same thing, the ones that were pointed down had no problems and the ones that got turned during planting took at least 3 to 4 days more before sprout, some i had to dig up and turn over
 
when there new do they rapidly grow for like awhile. Cause im gaining like .75 inches everyday on average. How long will this growth spurt llast
 
It doesnt matter at all which way you plant the seeds, i recently planted over 40 seeds, all sprouted after 2 days. I just make like a 5 mm hole with the fingertip in the soil, and drop a seed there and cover it with soil. I put a dark, moist towel over the pots and i use a lamp above the pots to make the temp go up (they will sprout much, much faster).

seeds would be kinda usless if they only worked with a certain side down, nature is much smarter than that!
 
I got a new question but its dumb so i dont wanna make a new thread. What parts of the plant contain thc?

Like do the stems and leaves and such contain thc. Ive never really thought about that but like if they do why would we take them out when we smoke them, right?
 
That's the part of the plant you normaly make hash of since the amount of THC is very small compared to the buds.
 
oh i see, it makes sense. I was alittle shot when i wrote that. I mean stems wouldn't burn real well either and would be a pain to roll.
 
Hi green brothers... I planted my seed root pointing up and after 2 days the fitst leafs came up but also root came up ... I was wandering what to do so I gently digged my baby up and made a bigger hole in the soil, straight up my plant a little bit without damaged the root and digged it backin the positoin as it should be...
DO U THINK THAT IT WOKR OUT?!

+rep for posting this thread... I was having the exact same problem a few minutes ago because my seeds were in U shapes, (I planted them the wrong way after they sprouted.)

OH... except I'm new and I don't know how to rep. Will someone tell me how?
 
Theres absolutely no need to be fucking about transplanting germinated seeds, just plant them in soil and let them germinate themselves, its much easier and always gives 100% germ rate.
