which strain(s) to grow next

I'm currently growing 5 plants in a 48x24x60 inch tent under a 600 watt metal halide.... They girls are getting too big and almost ready to flip to 12/12... So... I picked up a 48x48x80inch and going to move the operation into this. I've also got a new LED light fixture so I want to convert the smaller tent to a veg tent.

My source for healthy female clones currently has the following strains available.. It's kind of overwhelming and hard to decide which ones to pick up. I think I can only fit 4-6 plants total. I'm currently growing 2 pineapple express, 2 jack herer, and 1 white widow.

Here is what's available:
Jack Herer
Nightmare OG
LSD OG
Pineapple Express
Holy Grail
White Widow
Wi-Fi OG
Skywalker OG
Bubba Kush
Alpha Medics J1
Blue Dream
Super Lemon Haze

Blue Dream no doubts there. WIFI as well and herd good things about Nightmare OG.
As for plant counts. I run 1 Plant per SQ/f in 3 Gallon Coco.
If that were me id run 16 plants. Id defoliate heavily and yield huge.
My plants are around 4-5 foot tall.
Thats how I grow.
What LED you rocking?

Wow I currently have 5 plants in a 4ft x 2 ft tent and its getting crowded...

I think I will definitely try blue dream for at least 2 of them.. Possibly skywalker OG for 2 more..

The LED I have is a 2nd generation galaxyhydro 300w. I'm planning on adding another 300 watt LED or switching to HID if LEDs dont seem to be cutting it. Just trying to break out a 2nd grow space so I can veg and flower at the same time, I will slowly upgrade/expand as $$ allows.

Your problem with LED is your using garbage...no offence.
Dont buy anymore of those fixtures.
Check the LED sections here on RIU and read about COB LED

I bought it because it was inexpensive. I have a small budget for the moment. I'm using 600w MH at the moment and haven't even taken the Galaxy out of the box.

There is a lot to learn about LEDs. My long term goal is to build my own COB fixture. I've read articles about people converting these cheap LED lights to a COB light by repurposing the frame.

Sounds like you aren't too far behind me on the learning curve. have you actually put together a COB fixture or done a grow under one? Like I said I have limited experience and have only used MH/HPS. I also pretty much got this GalaxyHydro for free since I had a $100 amazon gift card. I don't mind starting out with the cheap chinese stuff since its allowing me to move from 1 chamber to 2....I can also resell it if I start using it and it sucks..

Thanks for the feedback and sorry for the confusion!

That 300w led panel is good for side lighting in flower or for vegging smallish plants but not really a standalone bloom phase light. I only know because I got the same one. DIY cob led seems way too complex for my feeble little mind but man I'd love to try and build one cuz I sure can't afford a lighting upgrade these dayz....
My vote is for super lemon haze; loving this strain- a great yielder and potent flavorful buds. Second choice would be skywalker OG. Can't go wrong with a proven old school strain like white widow either but haven't run any of the others except blue dream which I ran so long I'm kinda tired of it now; good all purpose erryday strain. Good luck and happy growing whatever you decide...

Been using LED for over a year now.
Currently building a Vero 29 Build at 2.1a flower at 3000k 80cri and a veg tent at 1.4a
900+ PPFD.

I understand the cheap ness. but if you go cheap Mars is your best best.
Im well versed on LEDS.

I liked Mars in some ways and may still pick one up..But what I don't like is how many different generations and options they have. It makes it hard to decide what to get. It's hard to spring for something thats $100 when you know the same manufacturer has lights that are several hundred that will grow your plants better... Part of the same reason it's hard for me to even CONSIDER LED, since I know HID blasts the girls with tons of lumens and plenty of the right spectrum... With LED's, even if you spend a lot of money, it seems like there is still some uncertainty to the effectiveness of them, whether it be in veg, flower, or both... It almost seems like you need to custom build a light fixture for veg and a seperate one for flowering, using the best Cree components, good drivers, etc... if you really want to do it right with LEDs. I simply can't afford to do that for now. So my PLAN B is to just run an array of 2-3 "cheap" LED units. It's a way to start out and I can probably flip this tent to someone who wants to start growing, turn the 4x4 into a veg tent, and buy another or a bigger tent for flowering. I'm all about constant improvement. I actually decided to start growing again this month and already have 5 plants about to go into flowering, so I think I'm doing pretty good for a n00b.

I'm super baked sorry for the word vomit.

I was planning on building a new super cob light but my wife gave me the go ahead to buy two of these. I've have kind xl1000's now a small cob light I built and a bunch more others. They work REALLY good! See I had solar installed on my roof to handle my house and 6k watts of grow room hid's now I only do led because they're better imo but it's just that my opinion. Anyways I grabbed two of these tonight I'll let you know how they are when I do my next grow.
