can someone help me out with picking the right type of soil? coming up for my first grow and have no idea what soil i should use
which soil?

The best brand is Fox Farms but you can really only get it at hydroponic stores. You won't find a good quality soil at home depot or lowes.
I'm pretty new to inside growing, so I'll just relate my 2 cases.
1st was using MG Moisture Control - disaster - fried my seedling - soils that are prefertilized can be tricky
2nd used MG Organic Garden soil - night and day difference - less than a week from harvest and didn't have a single soil issue - soil additions were perlite, dolomite, and bone meal

use a good quality top soil or potting soil that has no nutes and a neutral ph(7.0) mixed with perlite and add your nutes when required.
