Which reflector is the best and bigger for a 1000w bulb

Hi, I want to know which reflector is the best air cooled reflector around, also a big one, and which 1000w ballast should I get? this set up is for a 5x5 gorilla grow tent. thanks for your help
 
I am using a "Magnum XXXL" in a four-foot tent with a 600, and love the light footprint. It should be ideal with a 1000 and 5x5.

Ballastwise, I'm running a Lumatek. Digital ballasts are efficient and quite durable. Magnetic ballasts are gentler on the bulb, and reparable. Are you really gonna grow gorillas? :shock: cn
 
id say go with a 600w lumatek. 1000w can be too hot and i dont think it whould be a good choice in that size tent. id say find an aircooled hood thats square
 
i got the raptors, the only thing i prefer the raptor over the xxxls are they seem to be more air tight. both shoot a really nice foot print. you can cover a 5x5 with that no problem with a 1k
 
lumatek 1000w dimmable ballast. that way you can use it at 600w (with a 600w bulb) when the plants are still small. i use the XXXL hoods as well. they used to have some drawbacks but now they seal really well and they have a hing on the glass for easy cleaning.

btw...don't listen to anything this guys says. he only pulled 1.35gpw off 4000w of lighting as a relative newb. pathetic. :lol:

King Cobras are great too, and a 1000 watter would be great for that space but a 600 would work well too, just depends what you want your power bill to look like haha. I haven't used the xxxl hood but it would probably be great too.
