this is my first hydro grow so i havent experimented with the different brands. i just figured this thread would help people with their nutrient choice based on experiences of others with the different nutes. Anybody have anything in particular that they try to avoid? Chemicals or additives?

I've been doing this for almost a decade and a half and I've always used AB Fertalizer's Super Veg and Super Bloom products. They come from Canada, they are hard to find and expensive, but they are all that the plant needs.... nothing more.... nothing less.... I've recently been formulating an organic nute for commercial production out of Humboldt County and I will start using it when it is done to test and prove it to be among the best when it is completed, but until that happens.... nothing could make me stop using AB Fertalizer.

one of the things that got me to purchase AN was the owner was on youtube in a video. (he does many videos) he specifically told people not to buy his rooting product and to buy another brand of rooting gel because it was better than his brand so he said he was taking it off the market til he makes a better product. so that means to me that they stand behind their products and only want to sell the best. IMO.

They must be doing something right if they are using it.

And i dont see millions of $$ in marketing every where i look.

Bottom line is, GH line is pretty simple, forgiving and to the point with their plant enhancments.

I use Advanced nutes for two years now and love them, I use the micro and bloom don`t really bother with the grow part, also bud blood, big bud, overdrive and final phase. Its the additives that cost but if you shop around you can find them at a good price
