Which lights do you think are better?

I was looking at the Viparspectra 600w (two for a 5x5)

Or some 450w Cob Hipagero ones on Amazon that I can't really find any info on. Only info I can find is good, I guess???

Or three of those instead of the two Viparspectras. No I am not going to build my own, as of now it is not feasible for me. If there is a BETTER option that is plug and play, for a 5x5 ( A definitive BETTER choice) for under 300-330 I am all ears. Also, some links to peoples grows with these range of LEDs and/or pictures would be nice.

oh, I forgot... NICE TO MEET EVERYONE! ;) I can't post links so you would have to look the Hipagero up to figure it out. it actually has some pretty good reviews.

You need like 6+ of those panels to actually have decent results in flower.

300$ is cutting it super close for 25sq.ft, you might be better off with an HID or downsizing your grow. Its pretty much 900$+ to fill a 5x5 with led's worth using.

3 of those 450w panels will draw 600w, would work decent in a 3x3, would do okay in a 3x4.

Why am I getting so many different answers? Another guy told me that two of the Viparspectras would be be overkill. He said he can get two Ps off of two plants with two 450 VIPARSPECTRAS!!! He isn't a 20 year grower either. He is ALSO growing AUTOFLOWER when he grows those tow Ps, in a 5x5 and gets them!!! It sounded crazy to me but I believe him. I've seen a few other grows of the viparspectras as well and they didn't seem AS huge as HID or HPS but they did seem pretty big. HID are a no no. I don't want the heat at all.

I'm asking questions (in general) so please guys don't bash me. Why is it there are some people who say they can get a gram or more a watt off these LED and some say you can't?

Is my goal of a P a plant on this setup too far fetched???

No, thats such a fucking piece of shit light whoever told you that probably has ABSOLUTELY no business growing.

Everybody and their cousin had one 7 years ago, an hid with half the wattage would eat those things over and over. Who the hell recommended you a vipar in a 5x5?

He said two with autoflowers LOL and he said he gets two Ps lmfao! I thought it was kind of crazy as well. So can you give me some good options, for a 5x5 that's LED (because of heat issues) and that's KINDA cheap??? Is there anything you would recommend? Those Hipagero lights seem to have "different" reviews then the "other" LEDs and people are saying they are way better then the Viparspectras. I understand the light spectrums modestly and I understand that the problem with Vipars are flowering like you said but the Hipageros have the OPPOSITE effect in it's reviews. They say it is really good at flowering and one of the guys in there measure the light and it's pretty accurate.

I can't spend 900+ on a light, I don't really understand why if a lot of these companies use the same parts that I can't find a cheaper alternative to them.

If anything, if I am trying to get more weight, do you think I should step down to a 4x4?

Not going to get two pounds even with a good 200w led light, 2lbs in a 5x5 is pretty much fat buds wall to wall and still might not fit lol.

You can surf the LED sub-forum and try to get an idea of all the different cob, strips ect and try to make your own diy.

Its still going to jump beyond $700+ for a 5x5.

Downsize your grow to fit your budget or get an HID. What is your yield goal?

Well as of now I will probably get the 3 Hipargero ones with the cobs on them, so that's a total of 600w and I would LIKE at least 2p from that? I was thinking 5 plants in 5 gallon pots?

Top end LED is expensive, and that's just the fact of the matter. Even those of us with the know how to DIY, its still in the ballpark of $1 per W of consumption, with many variable factors.....Get into the "off the shelf" top end LED, and the prices start to get beyond most hobby growers tolerance for investment......

Oh I don't have a problem investing for it, it's just that I always have higher then normal expectations for everything and I am just trying to get started and learn, with a moderate yield. i know two is a lot lol.

Theoretically, what could I yield from this setup in optimal form?

Lmao!! Two pounds?? Ya maybe if he’s weighing the whole plant intact and the root ball.

Hey, you never really know. I am into psychology so I understand people lie and make up shit for no reason but why really lie if you aren't affilited with a vendor in this instance?

You answered your own question!
So how do I know you aren't lying because you might want to make people believe that cheap LED aren't worth it? I've seen plenty of really good grows online to where they are getting some nice weight and they aren't far off from me with lighting so why is I should believe one or the other? JUST ASKING!

I know it's fact that some lights are better then others but what EXACTLY makes the other LED lights better when they use components from the same manufacturers? I'm not saying mines do but their are a LOT of other companies that do. Why is it The Cobs in this aren't good enough as a 100w Cree?

I am not doing anything except stating facts!! Show me any proof of a vipar getting two pounds?

And btw check out this ghetto ass shit!

I have seen plenty of grow journals on the forums I’m on to know you ain’t gonna pull 2 Pounds off two autos!
I didn't say you weren't lol but answer with a smart comment like "You just answered your own question" gets you a slick response lol.

It takes time and experience to get weight. As a new grower you will be lucky to get a harvest of healthy plants. Many new growers don't.
I used to grow Mushrooms. This won't be that hard. I'm pretty positive I'll grow a moderate sized plant. I understand about experience. I'm exceptional, been waiting years to do this. I'm not saying ANYONE is wrong at all. I am willing to put in the time and effort, I just have to dial back my expectations. I'm thinking about 4-5 ounces a plant.

You said you are into psychology, and state you understand the the human condition. Yet you ask and answer a question at the same time??? It was inevitable that you’d get that answer.
