Which light should I use for vegging in a skinny area

One of those cheap alluminum duct fans should work alright then. You could get ducting with it to minimize the light leaking by sending it some where.
so you think that sp150 wouldnt fry my seedlings and clones. I only have about 4ft of space for height in that side

I don't think it will fry, it says it has heat sinks and all the LEDs I have worked with usually run on the cooler side. I can't speak on behalf of mars hydro because I have no experience with their products. I know HLG is quality and runs cool. You want a little higher temps in veg so some heat might not be a bad thing. You can keep the LEDs at a closer range, but I noticed they will make plants droop and look sickly if put too close. If you see that happening, back them off about 6 more inches.

It's cheap all right. It doesn't even say the actual wattage. I don't buy that cheap stuff. I'm also not a fan of Mars or Spider Farmer. They're made at the same factory in China. But to each his own.
Considering the space being a 1x3 it would do fine imo. No need to get a light that's gonna grow the plant thru the walls.

that bloomplus light will be right up against the wall of the tent though, i dont want it to get hot and burn my tent down. could that even happen haha?

Depends, I have heard stories of LEDs that you could fry eggs on lol. Most stay cool though and you can have them up against the tent, but the safer the better.

for veg you need very little light. 3' is not great for flouros but its still what i would recommend. vegging with LEDs is a lot less fool proof than flouros.

something like this: ofc they come in 1', 2' or 4'... not 3'

Get like 8 Samsung strips and mount them on some angle wired in parallel to an HLG-80h-24a driver. They are less than 3/4" wide per strip and about 22" long. Running at ~10w per strip shouldn't require any heatsink.

Strips are $1.22 ea

Driver is $38

All you need is a power cord, some 18AWG solid wire, Wagos, and some angle to make a frame. Should be $80-100 total.

thats enough light to veg plants pretty good in that small space? I dont want to just use it for clones.

Claims to replace a 600w but I am not sure if that means all 4 or if that is possible with them. I can't make heads or tails of LED stats, sorry, they might be good I am not sure. I am used to measuring everything by lumens lol.
i could put all 4 of them hanging from the top and completely cover the whole area. I just dont know if that is a good light spectrum

they offer a white, yellow, and a pink color light.

I wonder if a 2ft 2 bulb t5 would fill the length well enough? I used one for 8 years before it crapped out. A good option for short tents
