Which fan should I get for my grow tent?

6 inch openings. I am currently using

And have been notified that it wont be enough for my 4x4x7 grow tent. So can someone link a good fan that isn't going to cost me an arm and a leg to purchase?

Also is this a good clip on fan to get to hang from top of the grow tent?

oih oih savaloy..... I didn't say it woudn't be enough, I said it was a booster and not designed for the job. It wil burn out under the workload you are putting it under as a primary fan.

I was looking at these when I was in the market. Its the cheapest legit fan out there. I ended up getting a vortex fan attached to a 24 carbon filter for 140 shipped on ebay.

The real question is, what kind of lighting will you be using? Since half the need for fans is to keep the heat down, we need to know how much heat you'll be dealing with.

my first set up was a 4x4 tent with a 600w hps and i used a 4in can fan with carbon filter and it worked great actually had to buy a speed controller so i could adjust it...you should be fine with a nice 4in fan.

I own this one. I have it running on my 600hps and a 4x4 tent. It's overkill for sure, I use a fan speed controller to quiet it down a bit, but it's not too bad. But it leaves you with room to expand.

I use a MaxFan 6" with the three-speed controller on "lowest", and it's more than I need by a healthy margin to keep my 600W MH lamp cool. Four-foot tent. cn

This is the one I got ... "flared" chassis and three-speed controller. The one on Amazon has a straight plastic chassis ... i don't know how that one compares. This one here works a treat imo, but quiet? No. On the lowest setting it sounds like someone left the bathroom fan running.
But it is more fan than I'd need, even if I ran 2 tandem 600s. cn
