Which Cabinet Would You Go With ?

The light fixture in the flowering chamber as well as both veg chambers with be adjustable...I will be using chains.

Looks like I should be able to finish this either this Tues or Wed

Well coming along slowly but surely.....I thought I would have it finished today but not quite there....Almost though....here's a bunch of updated pics....I did pretty much most of the new stuff today....Pretty much all I have left to do is tie the electric together, Hook up the fan to an electrical cord, and then I will apply rubber weather stripping for light/air seals and attach the doors....Then I will double check that there are no light leaks....Then I should be good to go....

I got cfls, pots (air-pots), feminized Female C99 seeds, grow medium - Pro-Mix HP....

anyways, here's the pics.....you can see how messy it has gotten on my workbench....I don't know how many times I lost my bowl, camera, measuring tape, chains, measuring tape again, lol.....

The positioning of the light sockets on the fixture may look odd but I actually already "puzzled" it together before I built it...Using the splitters I will have a fairly set pattern with the lights.

More pics....I fed the cab from underneath for total stealth factor....It's a 12 gauge wire....It will be attached to the back of the 2x3 with clips, and then painted white......

Just wired up one of the veg chamber fixtures during my lunch break....Power not on going into cab yet so I just used an extension cord instead.....But, lo and behold ! We have light !!

Well progress is still slow....we have a contractor coming over tomorrow so kinda had to hide everything....I did get the flower chamber light wired though

and a few more pics....one thing about this cabinet is the doors don't line up perfect with the rest of the cab.....But I don't foresee it causing any issues in terms of light leakage...I replaced the back cardboard wall with a piece of plywood plus I stink at carpentry...those two things add up to something a 5th grader would build, lol....oh well at least it will be functionable......

I just put those in there to test out the fixture...

Veggin' will get a 3 or 4 to 1 ratio of 6500k to 2700k....of course flowering is just the opposite.

Also all the light sockets should have splitters as well....I am estimating having 26 to 28 cfls in that chamber for two plants.....23 to 26 watts per bulb

That's pushing 700w. You'll need a decent vent system.

good idea on the plywood back, that thing is looking great man.

I just finished it up....To say I am ecstatic would be putting it lightly...........This project took a lot longer that expected.....I thought I would have it done it two days....HAHAHAHA.....Hardly....it's been a few weeks now I believe.....I chipped away at it on my days off, and I just finally finished it....

I actually just finished light proofing it....Since I suck at carpentry the cab wasn't square so at the end I had some light leaks....I patched them up with the rubber seal stuff from Depot...But I still had a fairly large leak at the bottom, and one near the top....Well I turned the fan on to test temps, and realized the suction from the fan fixed the top leak but the bottom leak was still there....So I light up a Maduro, sat here, and pondered how do I get that door tight on the bottom ?

I thought maybe ropes inside the door that went out the back...but that reduced stealthiness, and was kinda a pain in the ass.....I thought some kind of latches on the front but that would kinda look dumb, and reduce stealthiness....I actually just considered duct taping the bottom each time, lol....But that is real ghetto, though I was gonna do it to start, lol....Then I looked at saw my craftsman toolbox sitting on the ground, lol....Yep you guessed it....That tool box has some weight to it....So I went ghetto, and plopped it in front of the door, and WALA ! Just like magic the light seal was finished !! LOLOLOL.....GROW GHETTO OR GO HOME !!!!

I did end up adding a cabinet latch and lock to the front of it...thanks again Home Depot.....I'll be posting pics of the finished product shortly....I have to go finally start dinner, and it's 1:11am EST, lmao..

I am also going to start my seeds tonight....C99 seeds in a moist paper towel inside an open sandwich baggie on top of the warm cable box....Thanks Time Warner for helping with the grow, lol.....

sounds good, cant wait to see!! i almost asked that in my last post if you squared it up when you put the plywood on the back, LoL. what where the temps like? glad you got it done man, now we can get to some growin!!

Ya I spaced squaring it up....So that kind of threw things off a bit...Oh well, live and learn, I didn't build it for looks....As long as it grows good bud....I had a bulb in each socket in every chamber and temps were in the 70s....However I can lower the starting temp, which is the basement, probably by at least 5 degrees to put starting temp around 60 if I want....I also didn't have any pc fans in there yet...Not sure how much that will affect things...And even though I have my exhaust fan in there I don't have the carbon filter on top of it yet - so that might affect things....We'll see I might have to make some changes on the fly...

Oh ya, I haven't smoked cigars in a while, and that damn Maduro made me nauseous.....Anyways so after I got up from being nauseous I put the seeds in a paper towel...I got up today to check on them, and there was only one seed in there ???@%$#%

Not sure what the hell happened but I put another in there just now....Oh well guess I'll be ordering from Herbies sooner than later, darn, lol....

Ok, Ill post the rest of the pics of the cab build, and that will end it for this thread....Then I'll start a new grow thread.
