Which Aerogarden Model Do you have?

I'd like to know which model you guys are using. Im thinking of getting the Aerogarden 6. Maybe even dropping all i have on the Aerogarden extra and not buying any additonal nutes hah.

Also do all of the models have the 24/0 light cycle option?

not positive as im no expert with them all but i own the basic one and am sure there is not a 24/0 light schedual for that particular one

Buy a timer, they are cheap ($15 for digital). You'll need a Figure 8 power cord to hook to AG lights then to timer.

Which unit did you end up getting?

I was torn between the Deluxe and Pro200. I ended up getting the Pro 200.

I did some research and the hydro store owner Bud lol told me that the deluxe is the same but the pro 200 has better features,automatically adjust the light to the hight of the plant has a 24hrtimes air pump the wrks,i got 2 aerogarden pro 200s and 4 clamp lights and works wonders for my personal use i grow 3 diff strains in each one n boy is it worth it just do alot of research b4 u start otherwise u might b disappoint or misinformed..Even if u think u no it all noone nos everythin bout this subjust research and ask question.

I'm wanting to get into a micro grow, just to see what can be achieved. I watched a video on youtube of someone claiming 2 ounces and 17 grams DRY YIELD from an Aerogarden , of course it was an Aerogarden that had 3 bulbs and an extendable hood.

I'm debating on whether its worth it to pay $150.00 for the Aerogarden Extra , its the cheapest Aerogarden with 3 bulbs and an extendable hood.

It really doesn't matter about the built in timer, because I've got a few standalone timers, I wouldn't veg over 7 days with mine, I'd go straight into 12/12 after 7 days from sprouting.


I keep thinking about that video on youtube, if I could pull a single OZ. dry , from an Aerogarden Extra , I'd be satisfied. I just want one for the sake of an experiment. I already own 2-400 watt HPS ballasts and one of them is switchable to MH, and then I own a 250 watt HPS/MH digital galaxy ballast, and then 3 reflectors. I've got more grow equipment than I have room to use it all.


I've NEVER flowered with fluorescent lights, I use them for seed starting and vegging but never have flowered with fluoros , and I just want to see how the bud will turn out.


I've never done hydro either, and this is something I want to get into as well.


I've been looking on Craigslist in my area for a used Aerogarden Extra or Deluxe and every Aerogarden on there for sale is the short 2 bulb types, I want the one with 3 bulbs and super extendable lamp hood.

i used it on my ghost chillis and its hard to explain but the 200 adjust the light differently u can actualy c it as they get larger the ligh some hoe magnifies
