Hey my plants have been under 12/12 for 10 days now and i still cant see any signs of them being either male or female. Ive done my research around the forums and what not and have found that it can take up to 2 weeks but its getting close and im starting to get worried i may have done something wrong. This is my first grow so im not sure how common this is.

i dont see anything yet, if theri from seed it will take longer because they werent mature. i try to wait till they show sex in veg it means they are mature and ready to flower unless they are getting to big. just be patient, on another note males USALLY show up first and sex faster so you might have some females on your hands.

Alright thats really good to hear. By the looks of it then all 5 plants are female as of now. Honestly im kinda hoping to have a male or 2 just so i can concentrate what little light and space i have on fewer plants. My whole setup is way too small for what im doing, i didnt realize just how big they would get. On my next grow im deffinently gonna give them more room and light so they arent on top of each other so much.

you can always toss a female out its better to have more light on fewer plants if theri is not enough for them all

Yea but i would feel so wrong doing that to a perfectly good female, i would rather have a male so its more justifiable. But you have a good point i might have to do that.

if you dont want to throw it out you could always take her and plant her some where outdoors and just let her do her thing and see what happins

Ha yea that would be pretty cool doing that and just seeing what happens. So i just gotta keep doing what im doing and eventually pistols will start coming in?

yup pistils or balls. but you will get females and you probably will get males its 50/50 when it somes down to it

Based on my limited judgement it's too early to tell. Don't throw it out. Even if it's a male it's too early to pollinate. Trust me you'll know the difference.

It looks to be a female too, but I can't say for certain. On the left side of the node, is what looks to be a small calyx, but, the pic's too fuzzy to be able to 'rule out' it being a stipule, positively. 95% chance it's a girl.

Alright, i guess im just getting kind of anxious to find out especialy since everything i read is telling me it wont take longer then 2 weeks.

Just an update i saw the first pistols on one of the 5 plants today, lets hope the rest follow. Do pistols only form on the new growth or will they form lower on the stalk too?

Ha alright nice, thanks for all the help guys. This forum is awesome this was my first post and i couldnt beleive i had all the answers to my question within only a few hours. Im sure ill be back with more questions soon enough.
