Where to get good deal on HPS?

where is the best place to get a 250-400 watt HPS lighting system. ive looked at a few places online but wanted to kno if you guys had any suggestions.

from what i can tell, htgsupply and their ebay store has the best kits. The real deals are do it yourself conversions, but the recent one on econolight went down, so everyones looking for somewhere else.

PM me if you are interested in buying a used 250w HPS w/ hood. I've upgraded to a 400w and don't need mine anymore. I'd be willing to get rid of it for pretty cheap.

Other than that, there's always e-bay, but usually you get what you pay for.

im not sure what the diy conversions are but yea ive seen the HTG HPS lights and they are pretty well priced but im a little questionable on the quality. they look kinda cheap. ide like to kno how they perform if anyone has any testimonials.
also how hot can a 250 watt hps system get and what is the best way to cool the area.

have several digitals-not cheap at all. good reflecter, decent bulb although may want to upgrade. no problems. other than them dickin me around for a week on shippin and sent me an entire kit on accident.
very strong light intensity.
600 gets very very hot
400 gets hot
250 not too bad-cheap clip on fan directed at bulb and out da door

just picked up a 250 w/ conversion kit from htg, seems to be highly recommended.

Getting good deals on digital ballasts and reflectors on craigslist. They come with bulbs too, but typically the seller doesn't know the bulbs life. Cheap to get a new bulb just to be sure tho.. Also finding some nice AC/Heater units to keep my room at the perfect temp. Can't beat barely used goods on craigslist

I purchased 2 600w hps from htg, extra bulbs hangers etc. It was shipped stealth and fast. One light was busted in shipping and he sent a replacement. Excellent customer service. As for quality you get what you pay for. They allow you to build your own system, hood pref, bulb pref, even digital. Nothing shakey about that crew in my opinion.

always buy htg supply there 250 wat hps/mh and 400 hps mh are 117 i live down the street fromt the storee it was liek 123 bucks after tax
