If you are looking for some stuff *today*, then you might check with ommproviders on McLoughlin, south of Milwaukie. They are membership only, 20 bucks a month...but they had clones when I was last there in April. They also had Stoney Girl seeds for sale.

I've never seen more than 1 clone at Cannabliss down on SE 7th, and I've never seen a seed there.

I just got a metal tin containing a group of seeds from across the Atlantic...fast, fast. Used Attitude seed back online.

You could also check with MAMA, the resource/ganja doc/classes place down on SE 28th.

Good luck

Thanks Luther, I ended up calling around to a bunch of places. Most places seemed like they only wanted to sell me bud.. in fact one guy told me the only way to get seeds was to drive to BC(Canada). I found a place out in Hillsboro that had both seeds(Stoney Girl) and some purple urkle clones. Ended up getting a single clone and a variety pack(10 seeds) for a donation of $105 + $5(1 day membership). Over all I was very satisfied that I was able to get my card and some things to get me started in one trip. BTW.. I don't know how the heck people can stand to live in Portland, the traffic is just killer not to mention the guys and girls on bikes that will just cruise right past you when you are making a turn. What a good day!

I grew a Stoney Girl...OPN. Worst looking plant ever until I stuck some in a bowl. Took a hit and floated into the bathroom for a piss. Five minutes later I was still staring at the tissue box on the terlit. haha It was almost too potent for my tastes. Medical grade stuff can spoil you if you're not used to it.

What seeds did you get?

Donkeyshow aren't you an OGF member? If so hit me up on OGF and I will fill your garden with plants for FREE!

Breeder no I am not an OGF member although I did stop by there today. Luther, I don't know because I sprung for a variety pack with misc. seeds. The 5 pack of identified cost the same as the 10 pack of variety. Kinda bummed about it but oh well after they grow I should be able to narrow it down a bit by characteristics.

Also, is there any reason to join these clubs? I really don't understand how things work with them.

In other news I almost wish I had picked a better username, but little did I know I would find a forum community that I liked.

I'd look at OGF if a member is willing to fill your garden with free clones. I might even look into the website, as I haven't checked them out for over a year. I do remember private forums for certain areas around town for resources. I didn't join, but I was always curious if those forums (i.e. Southeast, Westside etc) enabled growers to trade clones etc. The traffic here in the Oregon forum is horrible, and the possibilities for swapping baby ganja is about the same.

$110 for 10 seeds and a clone?

wow, what a ripoff.

and yes, the people in this town drive like stupid fucking assholes.

I can see that point but I don't think 5bucks per month is really considered selling. My offer still stands and I won't charge a dime. I figure if your gonna buy beans and a cut why not pay 5 and have free access to many many free clones and seeds.

In another thread of Hazo's I talked about my order with Attitude. I'm sure it was just a fortunate roll of the shipping dice but I got my seeds and shirt 8 days after ordering. After you select the seed(s) that you want you start out with the 13 buck international shipping charge...then to "guarantee" shipment reaches your black ganja plastic pot they offer shirts/mugs/wallet for that additional cost of about 10 bucks.

I got individual packaged seeds in their own zip lock bag. All the proof I would have of a certain strain would be the zip bags and the attitude receipt. So what? You really have nothing to lose by trying out OGF and reporting back.

Heck, I might even do it myself.

You only live once!!

I'm interested in joining a club, maybe OGF even. I like the idea of getting together to exchange information and resources but realistically I doubt I would travel up to Portland more than once every few months! Maybe if there is something closer to where I live, between Salem and Eugene.

You know, maybe it's me. But if one is to grow ganja, if paying a minimal fee for clones is cramping your wallet, then maybe this venture isn't for you at this time. What do you do then...call the elec. company and ask for a cheaper elec rate...or do you haggle with the grow shop over the bottom line for nutes...???

Probably could score clones at those OGF Saturday things anyway. I'm just kind of tired of the amount of pot smokers out there that don't have a fucking pot to piss in and then want to grow dank on the cheap. [/rant]

I did not say free or cheap...... What do you consider minimal fee for clones? If it is anything like there prices for good meds, "which they take donations at street prices or more for there meds" then i think that is not minimal, maybe i am wrong. I would compensate someone for good strains. I just think alot of places take advantage of people. For example almost 20 dollars per seed for a particular Oregon seed bank and you evidently cannot clone the plants from said seeds per there EULA. This is not helping anybody.... If i paid 20 per seed i would expect feminized seeds of the utmost quality. I am just looking for other options without paying to enter some places then hearing "we are here to help, hand over you wallet." I also do not want to order from overseas. I would prefer someone local who grows what i would compensate them for. Sorry to say it but i think the local community probably grows better meds than what most places offer and would like some local clones. Not seeds that i would have to "Donate" 20 dollars per seed for. Not a rant, Thanks.

Well there you go then. If you don't want to go "street" prices or "club" prices then you're down to a couple of options. You buy some seeds online and pay all the shipping/guarantee costs involved. Or, you could hope someone gives you some seeds of which probably won't be worth the bag he's got them in. Or, you could maybe score some clones at OGF, MAMA or any of those other "helping" agencies. Some people would say, "Ohhh...you don't know where that clone has been from...could have fungi mungi or mites or bad soil or communist Chinese plastic pots. No way I'd put it in my grow." So now you know the limitations on the situation.

My pard and I will probably raise our ladies from seed and clone them. Quite possibly donate some to OGF on those Saturdays...maybe meet some others doing the same thing and maybe get some clone swapping going on. I'm not going to grow just anything. I'd go home and research the strain, read reviews, read grow journals and posts about them from this joint. If I wanted to grow it, and the other cardholder wished to grow my clone, then cool. All parties happy and we've saved a ton and get to experience something new.

What I've been seeing around the Oregon forum isn't much of "sharing or swapping". Information on it, sure. Where to get it, blah blah, ...reviews and such are always around the site. But there just isn't any local clone swapping going on between posters here that are being vocal. Maybe a group got together and don't post about it or I don't know about it.

The situation around PDX is tighter than Warren Jeff's balloon knot while they yard his ass off.
