If you need to use MG get the black bag that says organic it seems to work fine just don’t feed for at least like 4 weeks or more cuz it’s pretty hot out the bag. I use it in my garden with no issues but I mix in cow manure and perlite and some peat moss and my tomatoes do pretty well in it so I don’t see why MJ would grow in it

I used that soil and my indoor garden had weeds. Not saying don't use, be aware of potential added maintenance.

i ain't a grower, but i've got decades of gardening and we used
MG, but also I had me a compost bin and every year, i'd lace the
garden with compost. what's wrong w/compost, pathogenic microorganisms?

slugs? if i saw them, i killed 'em. but i dunno, all i grew were 'maters,
beets, odd herbs (thyme, basil, etc.), green beans, uh...other odds/ ends.
