I’ve been looking at these seed banks and didn’t find one strain i recognize smh.. I wanna buy strains I’ve already heard of like orange kush, sour diesel, blue cheese, cookies, etc. I don’t want to gamble on shit that’s called bag of oranges or some other crazy shit.. I’m not knocking them just wanna start off with familiar strains I know. Thanks

You guys are trying to out Dutch the Dutch.

I get what you mean, I've plodded along 10+ years doing old known vars and the od new hybrid. The newer hybrids take much more selection time compared to the older vars. Obviously from stabilising instead of just hacking for sales.

East coast sour diesel is in many of the Karma genetics strains Ie...headbanger...
As far as strains ya know it takes a little digging but many are copy cats
I personally would look at cuts on Strainly
Hunting pheno's from seed is a long road

Very few actual breeders are left around even though there are more seedbanks than ever. Most of what passes for breeding nowadays is just "high end pollen chucking" where some guy collects 10 "elite clones" and then breeds them with each other-boom, instant massive catalog of "strains." It really bothers the hell out of me to see a popular breeder with 10 cookies crosses all at $100+ per pack.

Dutch sell cookie hybrids less than 100.

I still remember having a choice of roughly 10 seedbanks when I started.

Also some bigger dutchies that only sold fem are now dropping. Breeding lines of standard.

Why don't you use a European seedbank.?

My favorite breeders/banks are mostly in Europe, partly due to loyalty (Serious AK 47 and Kali Mist were the first plants I ever grew indoors in the 90s) and partly because of breeding practices. I like Serious and Karma in the Netherlands, and Ace, Tropical, Mandala, and Delicatessen in Spain. I like how the good Spanish breeders stay close to the landraces and I love how Serious will stick with a strain for 30 years and not allow it to degrade. Karma, I just like the breeding choices they make. There are quite a few breeders I like in the USA-like AKBB and TopDawg, but many more that I really dislike for reasons mentioned in my earlier post.

Useful's bag of oranges is well proven and been around for years. Those old school strains are back in years of old.

You can try European banks that have the names you're looking for but doubt they are actually what they're calling them.
