Where Does The Medicine Come From?

Hi all,

I was wondering where the dispensaries get all their medicine from... Is this a part of the legitimate business that isn't quite so? Can you obtain a commercial grow license to strictly grow medical marijuana for dispensaries only? I've recently been thinking about opening a dispensary, but making a business solely from growing the medicine itself seems much more lucrative. Do the dispensaries have legitimate commercial growers that are allowed to grow for them? Thanks for all info.

Um, thanks? That's what I'm trying to figure out, do some research. Don't know how far I'll get with help like that though...

Instead of giving me a sarcastic response, I don't see why you couldn't have given me some insight on the subject...

I think they get their supply from local growers. You have to show them what you got and that you can supply frequently. Dont quote me though cuz that was basically an educated guess

Thank you! That's what I expected from some more info. I have found searching through these forums.

Does anyone know if there is a limit to how much you can sell to a dispensary? From what I've found, the dispensaries are actually supposed to be getting their medicine from their patients who grow, not commercial, illegal operations. Since there is a legal aspect to this, do they keep records of this? What if the records show that you are supplying them with mass amounts of medicine? Or can they just hand you a stack of cash and you be on your way?

What that means is many dispensaries are being pressured to document those large cash transactions on their taxes and audits. That means the days of paying suppliers or vendors in cash are coming to an end. :!:
The IRS knows loopholes when they see them. Organized crime also thrives on cash n carry type 'bizness' and you can bet the feds are watching all these dispensaries closely. We had one just close due to Insurance fraud here in the Denver area. They got audited and without accurate records that was that. :dunce:

In short, expect more and more dispensaries to pay with checks or be invoiced rather than cash.

Interesting...Do you know of a limit someone can sell to a dispensary? If these dispensaries are starting to be required to write checks and such, wouldn't that make it more of a legit business for the growers? Or would this show that, indeed, the grower is supplying too much for the dispensary?

A lot of dispensaries may be legit / get it from "legal" sources like caregivers or whatever, but the truth is MANY dispensaries DEFINITELY get bud from illegal sources, no doubt at all. It's all the same though IMO (legal or illegal) and does not make a difference what the source of the bud is as long as it's dank bud. Having a $200 bud card does not make the bud you grow anymore "special".


I'm not sure on "records" some dispensaries may have, but I doubt there is anything much officially legal-wise for records. Something like bud is way too hard to keep track of IMO and would be difficult to truly recieve accurate/honest records.
