Where are the MMJ politicians?

Ok we have finally started getting the tide to turn a little, I mean politicians are starting to finally admit to use followed up with 'but I didn't like it'

But this is better than 'I didn't inhale' or ' never tried it or curious, it's too dangerous'

This has been a positive slow process, but how about getting active MMJ patients elected to support and help our cause from the inside? I think we have too many patients scared of the possible backlash, but this seems like it is softening up and with enough public support the backlash could be avoided. Also we have gotten them to pay attention to us, but we are kind like that gnat or a fly flying around your head as you eat a picnic lunch; but if we actually start getting MMJ patients elected to these positions we could move up the food chain to maybe the crazy uncle that everyone HAS to listen. Starting with local counsel members, mayors, Judges, ect. These are all elected officials and we just need a few people elected to these offices to start getting views to change a little. If we could get on boards like this supporting these candidates and take grass roots efforts to promote these candidates, it is could be much more affordable to get these guy elected into small offices that could affect local governments, once they have affected positive changes we could start supporting these candidates to higher offices as they debunk some of the stereotypes and hesitations of some of the more conservative voters and our crazy uncle becomes hard to disagree with.
