Where am I going wrong?

NEVER let coco dry out (in my experience) this causes the salt from the nutrients to concentrate into the coco which can result in a lock out. In my experience you cannot over water coco. Grab a sample of runoff when its coming out of the bottom of the pot. I have all my pots elevated on elevators I made for catching and testing runoff ec of each individual plant. Of course the readings are going to be off in a runoff tray. Also each plant eats less or more than the others.
Also, dont clone them. Sorry but that big perm guy doesnt know shit (no offense mate). You should clone only HEALTHY plants.
OP water everyday and you will be ok. I used to tear my hair out trying to figure coco out. I kept researching and researching and filtered out all the stuff that doesnt work and got with the things that do work. Trust me water every day.
Theres obviously more than one way to run coco but im going to have to disagree with alot of what you said. How long have you been running coco for? You can 100% over water coco, thats probably one of the biggest mistakes new to coco growers make, they think they can plop a small plant in a 3-5 gallon container and water till runoff everyday. Try that and let me know how it goes. Now if your plant has a well established root system in a big pot than yes its very hard to overwater. The op is having exactly the problem im talking about, plants were fine in there small pots and once he went to large pots started having problems. If he continues to water as you suggest they will continue to decline, just like they have since transplanting. Why would you continue to do something thats not working for them and expect them to miraculously get better?
Also not taking clones from plants that arent in the best shape makes no sense, yes the better the shape the mom is in the better shape your cuts will be in before they root. But you are taking a clone, its genetics are exactly the same whether its in great shape or not. @Garythegoose Cut back on the waterings as i said, no dont let them completely dry out, and they should start getting better. If you just toss them your not learning from your mistakes. If you have some foliar feed now would be a good time to spray to give them a boost.
Also not sure if you mentioned, what kind of temps do you have and what lighting?

I'm using diy Samsung strip light (6 strips) ~140w in my veg tent.
Temps are around 15-20°c I know it's a bit cool, but it shouldn't affect them too much right?

I knew it, temps are way too low. Just looking at those leaves i could tell they are stunted by the cold. You should be around mid 20s, 20 is very low, 15 is extremely low and growth will pretty much halt at those temps. Get those temps up!

I have not experienced this in coco. I did an experiment in a one gallon radicle bag where I started a seed in pure coco. When the seedling popped through the coco I fed it 6 times a day and that little sucker kept growing and no signs of overwatering or dampening off. You can disagree but I know what Ive experienced and you will not change my mind.

They will not. I know from experience that watering coco as if it were soil will get you soil results. If you let the coco dry out or not water everyday, the roots dont get oxygen and thats what I think is happening to the OP. Im sure he stunted them by letting the media dry out.

Yes that but imsure if it has some kind of disease then it would be on the clone.

What are you producing per plant when running DWC ? From my experience I get about 80% of what I got running DWC over coir but that also takes in to account that my DWC buckets were 5 gal but in coir I'm only in 9 liter pots (2.38 gal). Now if I flower in 5 gal pots of coir pushes it to 90+% of what my DWC buckets get.DSCN0893.JPG

Ive never grown in dwc.

Ive never grown in dwc.

Hey guys, great thread, I've been reading for some time now and I too have deficiency/lockout.
Its my first time growing in coco and I'm in veg photo phase.
The clones have been in 32oz foam cups with runoff for over a month now, about over a week ago i started to feed them with RO water with added nutes. My RO is about 80ppm, tapwater is around 380.
I feed them once a day after lights on. Its currently under 1000w MH about six feet away at 50% brightness.
After checking within the first week I noticed a spidermite infestation, I spray it down with azamax once a week 15 minutes before lights off.
Besides that the the veg feed has been around 390 ppm with RO. @ 5.8ph the runoff is about 610ppm with 5.8ph.
Room temp is 74F and RH is 60%. The leaves are dry and curling with alot of offcolor. Any hints or clues is much appreciated.

The input (feed) is higher than the output(runoff) by almost double. I would tone down your feed by half. Feed at 195ppm and the next day catch runoff of each cub in like a shot glass and check EC. If its around 195ppm or lower then that means theyre eating. If its higher than 195 like 250 then lower the 195 to like 100.

Right, it's been two weeks since I last posted about these fucking plants. I've flushed them (again) it has taken ages for them to dry out, they look over watered, well I have let the coco go bone dry, flushed them, fed them, moved them under my cmh lights, temps up to 25°c, everything under the sun and they just sit there doing fuck all looking sick like fucking retards.

Here's the little wankers...

i would agree, they don't look happy at all.

kinda looks like too little N.

what are you keeping your pH at?

waht are your nutes? and additives?

and for what it's worth, i tried coco for probably 3 grows and threw it all in the garbage. i hated growing in it. especially since i did dwc first and i knew that i could grow good weed.

Up your mag and P some with a slight overall increase in nutrient strength.

Here I'm suggesting you the better way to grow your Medical Marijuana.

The hydroponic growing technique

It’s the technique of growing cannabis using water. In fact, it uses a solution
containing the vital nutrients and minerals making it perfect for growing
cannabis. It is increasingly being used by growers with outstanding success.
Excited much?
You should be! It’s the magic potion that your plant needs.
Need more reasons? Read on!

Why hydroponics?

1) It’s quick. The fact that there is no soil means your plant can directly pounce on
those minerals and grow faster. And more nutrients means better yield.

2) Hydroponic systems are easy to maintain. You don’t have that burden of soil.
All you need is a nutrient rich solution.

3) It adds more potency to your buds. How? The roots directly absorb the
minerals and grow into healthier plants with better flavor, enhanced smell, and
more potency.

4) There is no danger of insects and those soil pests. Your love lady can grow
freely and blossom in no time.

I am sure by now, you’re all geared up to grow!

First time I tried coco I found that I had to set my pH a little lower than I would have thought. Once I set it at 5.3 they really loved it. I forget the brand of coco I was using but all pre-flushed stuff.

I also don't agree with anybody who says you should let your coco get dry. I think that's extreme. With any drain to waste system the most important thing is info from your run-off, making sure you get enough run-off and adjusting your feedings from there.

Also Mites - I am using this new product I absolutely love called "green magic" made with soy beans, can use it all stages of growth up to harvest it says but the stuff really works. I would recommend it to anybody to have in your arsenal.
