You really need to quit sucking Glenn Becks dick. we can pull our economy out of the meat grinder, by quite simply making greed illegal. If the ultra wealthy are taken down, and their ill gotten wealth is used to pay down our debt America will be just fine. Give up the Limbaugh/ Republican concept that ANYONE EVER needs to be a multi-billionaire, and saving our economy becomes extremely easy. What caused the financial situation in which we find ourselves is that we have allowed evil greed mongers to convince the rest of us that they should be protected, as we would wish to be protected if ( when donkeys fly ) we find ourselves as wealthy as them. Through this fiction they have perpetrated the concept that they earned their disgustingly inflated salaries, and therfore AMERICAN DREAM !!! anyone else can do it to. The truly sick part is that as they made their wealth, they lobbied for laws that ensure no one else can follow in their footsteps.
Bill Gates and a group of 8 other billionaires even offered to pay off the national debt on the condition that they never pay taxes again. If a group of eight wealthy men can pay off the national debt, then taxing the scum like Dick Cheney into a more reasonable wealth structure to save our country seems like a workable solution to me. And yes, If I made 4 billion a year, I think I could live very happily on 500 million and let the country have the other 3.5 billion in the interest of salvaging our economy. Thus the question, are the super wealthy allies or enemies of the nation?

yeah i agree with you, republican ideals (trickle-down theory of economics) do not function as they are supposed to in "theory" because they play right into human nature. All policies must be made to counteract human nature, including policies and laws that control government. Hamilton's quote in federalist papers no. 51 says it all.

also keep in mind the GDP of the US is still 3 times the size of any other country in the world. Fear and pessimism always has a strong hold over peoples thinking during tough economic times such as the one we are experiencing now. Imagine peoples thinking during the Great Depression? I'm sure a lot of them thought the world was going to end and the U.S. would fail, but it didnt. We have a lot of history to be made here in the U.S. And every time anyone wants to complain about how bad the U.S. is and how bad we have it. Just think of other countries like China who don't even have freedom of speech, something we take for granted here. In reality, our country simply is "the best of the worst" Peace.

We are an asshole country but one with allot of weapons! Not just weapons from the most powerful military in the world but some of the most hard headed people on the streets with weapons as well. We will end up grouping up with some of the worlds other super powers and form a super country ( new world order). We will never be close to being a 3rd world country.

You reminded me of one of my favorite quotes of Thomas Jefferson. " Government should be kept as small as possible, while remaining obliged to protect the weak from the powerful."

What those who remain steadfast in their support of unbridled greed have forgotten is that historically if the masses are allowed to suffer, while simultaneously witnessing that those who are the direct cause of that suffering remain unscathed, those masses eventually rise up and butcher those same greedy phucks. ( see French revolution, Boxer rebellion, Russian revolution, etc.,etc.,etc. ) The major difference IMO is that our armies are composed primarily of the children of the under classes, so there is a significant chance that if the excrement hits the oscillation device, many soldiers will join the masses, and also, unlike many of the aforementioned revolutionaries, American citizens have or have access to vast supplies of weaponry. We will be very well armed.

America will survive because our fore fathers had the good sense to protect or right to self determination, and that includes determining that it is time to take what the super wealthy have chosen to selfishly, greedily, and yes evilly keep almost wholly to themselves. When less than 1% of the people control 99% of the wealth, it can no longer be argued that they deserve that kind of wealth. I have often been amazed by the lack of vision of these 1%ers, as historically what is developing has never ended well for them, and the pains of our nation could be so easily soothed by them, but greed is their lover, mother, companion, and God, and it is only when they are herded towards extermination that they will attempt to recant their many crimes. Come Maria, the gillotine awaits.

We took our country for our selves and We built this country from the ground up, and we can do it again. and if the US fails, the WORLD Fails, we provide world wide humanitarian assistance and have more missionairys out in the sticks supporting 3rd world countries than any other. Where does the world come for hand outs? US. Where does the world look for protection, guidance, and world leadership, the US.

So yea, the US might fall, but the world will suffer.

All new guns in the U.S. are already registered. It is impossible for the government to register old weapons. They would need to be destroyed.
