When Will These be Done?

after they are dry..... lol. looks like your pistils are just starting to change color. If it is an indica you could be looking at about one to two weeks id say. But if its sativa dominant could be three and a half. Let us know what strain your growing. If you don't know check out some threads on trichome color and make your descision on when you want to chop. I ususally just go by pistil color. Once they all change they're ripe!

They dont look close to being ready and they kinda look nute burned If your still feeding the plants with nutes try to flush em, also when their about ready for chopin the fan leaves begin to start yellowing and the hairs on the plants will be red and receded into the plant

You should really look at the trichs rather then judging by the pistils.

Thanks for the spell check kbo ca, didn't know it was so important.

It's PISTILS brother. I've never seen a gun growing on a plant! The reason i suggest checking pistil color is because when all of them change color the trichomes are not far behind in color change. It's just a safe, easy way to check ripeness, without rubbing a scope on your buds.

yeah i don't have a scope :(

you dont need one, guy above is on track ....watch the pistils, the trichs will always be done when the plant is ripe (receeded dark pistils), dont buy a scope unless your a jeweler.

Agreed, trich color is a joke to me really. I just think you should chop when the plant looks ready. You know when it's time, unless you want to grow your weed-penis by a couple inches cause you smoke 15% amber, 75% cloudy, 10% clear.

You really think the person that uses that on this site made it?

no, but he uses it. and he is a known and liked character around here....its kinda weird. it would be one thing if a bunch of people used it, and it was like a common 420 sign or something.

Right. I see what you're getting at.

i thought this thread was scarhole and im like wait, why doesnt he know this answer ...dam avatars.

ill guess 24 days. the better question is do you get hated on for stealing avatar?

I don't hate on him. It's a damn avatar, come on =O

To the thread starter:

I would use a scope if I were you, if too many of the crystals turn amber, you may experience a lot of burn out with your high. The less amber crystals, the less tired you will feel... and I speak from experience.

Edit: The reason I suggest this... is why let all your hard work turn into anything but the best smoke possible?

you speak from stupidity ...

ya know there is different strains available to the grower. what you should do rather than harvest early (to get the right hi) is pick the strain that give you a euphoric hi(sativa) and grow it to completion (ripe) and get a properly grown bud that gives you the affect you want.

i mean i LOVE a sour orange but im not harvesting my oranges early so they taste different THAN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO TASTE.

Wow, not sure how someone with all that hate could possibly be a stoner. Prick. But anyways, I've smoked many a homegrown nugs, both sativa and indica that have been harvested perpetually throughout their flowering stage. BOTH of them, when harvested late, caused a lot more burn-out. So before you go bashing, learn your facts.

Also, I never suggested harvesting early... but what I am suggesting, is to keep an eye on the AMOUNT of amber crystals as to limit the burn-out effect
