when will my plants seeds be ready for use

i am harvesting today, and got a bunch of seeds due to my purposefull polinating,


do these seeds need to have some shelf time before i germinate them?

I have heard that you can use them right away, but that they will not have a very high germination rate and the plants will not be very hardy. In one of Jorge's books he says to let them harden off for at least a month. If you have a huge supply though I would just throw a few into a paper towel start the process. No harm if you lose a few

I tried to germinate immediatley after I harvested and didnt have great results. A few weeks later I had better success.
