Out of curiosity, when do plants need light? After germing and putting them in the medium and waiting for them to break thru the soil. About how long does it take for them to start actually needing lights? I know they can live off the seed for awhile, just wondering when it becomes critical for them to need light.

as soon as you see the sprouts coming through the soil get a blue spec enviro or a daylight bulb right down on it.
