When to Top?

When do I top? 3rd node hasnt cone in yet, should i wait to top it after 2nd node when it grows a couple ore nodes? or is it fine to do it now?

and the reason for waiting til then is? what would happen if i did it right now? thanx for replying!!

you can top any time you want...it's just best to wait a few nodes up first to give them a leg up. The first 3 inches is what I go by, but I have been topping for a while and am now learning to scrog. I'm also doing a low grow. If you want a tall bushy plant, wait until the 5th or 6th node. You can't go wrong.

Also... wait til 5 or 6 nodes and then top after 2nd node right?

If you wait until the 5th or 6th node the 2 new shoots will be more mature and come out quicker.

And yeah, right after the 2nd node should give you 4 main branches, but again it'd be worth it to wait for those extra nodes

6X3 6''height setup, lots of plants, top is best for *ax light coverage, yield?
