When to stop tucking

Not sure what you mean by mess. A huge mess of colas for sure but I can double my yields with a bit longer veg time which I will overdo regardless of what method I use. :)

I've let my 7 girls get too tall again and I couldn't have ScroGed them and made it fit in my flower room. ScroG is best for just a few plants but I'm swinging towards mainlining as a steady method for my setup. Just veg in pots of promix upstairs and move them downstairs for flowering for a staggered perpetual harvest. Lots of different strains so I figure that would work best for me.

Got taller plants now in the veg room so will start training on the next batch. :)

:peace:

Maybe I used bad wording.

I meant how bad is the netting tied up in the plants by harvest? I have never used any netting or wire that way. I need to move 1 plant in and out all the time as they mature in veg and flower. I stagger my planting’s and harvests perpetually.

But I am going to re build and at least half room monocrop an og x Trainwreck clone I rooted

I may set it up on a 4x4 tray and leave the plants in place to maximize tops. It’s really good stuff.

Easy-peasy. I got a real sharp machete. One good swipe and they are ready to toss in the trimmer. :) I'd use the scythe but can't get a good swing in there. ;)

Another reason not to tuck. Can take whole branches off for hanging if that's your thing. I harvest all the biggest ripest colas first then let the smaller, not so ripe ones go another 10 days or so. Trichs are still all clear but should get mostly cloudy in 10 days which is prime THC and when I like to crop.

:peace:

I missed this post. Lol. I wish I could see you do that. I couldn’t bring myself to I don’t think. But I get the picture.

Not tied up at all. Think of having a tall branch up through the screen and folding it over flat on top of the screen and tying it down with short pieces of twist tie. Just that as the branch tips grow above the screen you bend the pliable tip over and tie it loosely to the wire. As it grows out and starts to stand up you push it down and tie it again After about the third tie you can take the back one off and use it up front. So the growing branch creeps along the screen like a snake. With the grow tip tied down the side branches on that branch start growing faster and you tie them down too. The wire are short so at harvest time you can just grab the branch and pull a bit and the wires let go. I just give them a quick twist and not a bunch. Doesn't take much to hold the tips down.

I'll put supports on a tub and hang the screen on baling wire so as the main stem grows in height the screen can "float" and rise with the plant. Here's the bare bones rig before installing a plant.

ScroGMar291005.jpg

A setup I've used for plants in pots. A curved section of that screen with panda film backing hangs on the wall rounding out the corner with a horizontal one I cut with tag ends at the back that hook into the vertical screen and I use a couple pieces of light twisted link chain to hold it up in the front. It's 5.5' across the front and about 30" deep.

Lots of fun. :)

I don't really do that. A little poetic license there to paint a picture. They are just standing up like they want to get mowed down tho. :) I use the heavier rose pruner type tool for cropping the colas tho. Hard going for the trimming Fiskars. The pruning shears are good enough to snip the big fans off each cola before it gets tossed in a bowl to take upstairs to the man cave and trimmed in front of the computer while TV is showing on the left screen.

I just take enough that will keep me trimming for an hour so the leaves don't get all soft and saggy which just makes it harder. Then go down and get another bowl. I also don't want to chop a lot then have to quit if my hands start cramping up and going into spasms. Smoking fresh scissor hash as I go helps a lot. :)

I don't even start while the Start of Flowering, and i do it for around 4 week,After that i let them do there own thing,i going back to this after the next one, because i have been losing out on weight since i stopped with the scrog style growing,

I get the same or better yields as nice screen and scrog grows with simple 30” tall bushes. My 600’s hps with blockbuster hoods can bud up thick about 2’ into the canopy. Pretty much all the way down to the dirt are solid buds. Only training is a simple main stem bend by week 2 in 12/12 and stake and tie or supercrop as needed.

This og Kush x Trainwreck was grown from seed under 12/12 lighting from the start. She was transplanted into a 2.5 gallon pot at start of bloom and yielded 5.2 oz of dense bud. I can fit 4 of these under each light.

If I monocrop a known cutting it could be more.

Lol. I didn’t really think you sword swiped your harvests.

And thanks for the explanation and short tutorial. Huge trunks on those packed with colas plants you have trellised there. Neat!

MMG,Has showed you that you do not have to grow massive plants to get really good amounts of high grade Product,Love to grow like this,Its just plant numbers are a problem for me .Its the reason i grow big.But next grow i am going back over to growing with a table over them,on Av,im losing around 4/6 oz per plant ,with out scrogging .Still getting nice amounts that last me well over into my next grow,But More is all ways better,I like to know i have a stock on stand by,so if i have to stop for a while i still have a good few oz on stand by.The bud i'm smoking at the minute is from 9 week ago,The taste of that is beautiful, nice and smooth,But i like Young Pineapple Express, the odd bud taken of around week 7 ,that has a all together Different Flavor,Real sweet and fruity,The same taste has the finished crop just a lot sweeter.Still have a fair bit of G13 BBHB,Super Haze,Cookie Kush ,In jars that have been sealed and will be next in line to finish off ,before i start of the PE/SG I'm doing now,Both have good shelf life ,and are nice and safe,

Welcome dude ,Looks fire

The og Kush x Trainwreck is from CH9 seeds.

It is similar to ghost train haze but with a more uplifting high rather than heavy couch lock. Smoke enough though and you won’t move much. Lol.

Tastes like earthy lemons and gas. Every pheno has been loved by everyone.

Love that seed Breeder,Ch9 it took me hours of Phoning around and a lot of E mails ,to find the Last few seeds of the Super Haze I did end up finding 10 ,took some doing though ,they also sent me 10 what he had for a good while for free ,but they look really light but just glad i got them to be honest,Wish i could get that strain in Reg,so i could keep a mother of it ,i not one for keeping Feminized Mothers ,they turn on me after a while. But if they did that in reg i defo get them ,The best Haze i have grown,Could have took that down at 7 week if needed ,it was done perfect with a full 8 week. That Haze is great for Anxiety if i be very sparing with how much i use ,I only use a very small amount ,but works great ,Also uplifting high of that when smoked like i do,those i know that are heavy smokers say its the best haze they have smoked .still got some waiting to be sampled ,Smoked a good few oz when it was first done,The G13bbhb was great for sleep. That Super Haze is the Kinda Bud that is real weighty,a Gram of it Looks like nothing ,But i sold some to a friend for 150 a oz he got shut of 2 for 220 a oz the other oz he sold at 0.8 for 10 quid ,and they loved it went in just under afternoon.

I Know growers that double table ,Do a table during Veg,then another during Flower.I don't understand that to be honest. It causes no stress if your gentle with the plant .I've just had some metal S's Made up ,so they hook onto the plant and the tables wire,Started using wire because i found i got string fibre in the bud when using string ,all though its ok, if you use the waxed string,That stop's the Fibres, getting stuck to the buds. The Next scrog i do, i will be using a new table made from pvc pipe,And gonna have legs on ,with the use of joint connectors.Been building that today funny enough.Using 70lb fishing line has the tables squares,Good strong Material. Also been making more of the S's for hooks,re usable and great for the job fast. They sell them but ,i aint paying for something i can make for free, they sell them in £ pound land lol

I have become friendly with Pete the breeder. I missed the silver haze but he gifted me some of his new aroma x BLT. And an unavailable one POW x BLT. (Blue Lemon Thai).

I will be documenting a pair of aromas for him. He uses my pics for his site and ig.

My avatar is a Black Widow x Blue Lemon Thai.

He has gone on to selling bulk seeds to dealers. He is sort of a wholesale seed bank now.

I have tested some of the other genetics he is moving too. The critical mass and white widow were very authentic.

I germinate a ch9 seed almost every other week and harvest about the same perpetually. Never need clones. His plants are very consistent.

I grew these from seed in the flower room while I re did my veg/lung room. All 12/12 from the start.

All ch9 at the moment. But I mix in other breeders genetics often. I have 2 classic seeds berry indica x chem 4 x alpha dog diesel in veg now. The headband from him was pretty good.
