When to start??

hey guys im looking at growing some plants outdoor this grow season. Im in wisconsin. When do you think it would be a good time to germinate and then plant them? what type of temperture does it have to be outside before i start? Any body have any tips that would help?

google frost map and you can find out down to the county when your Average last frost is. plant after that day, although in your neck of the woods it has been an unusually cold winter so you might want to add a couple weeks just to be safe - i am! :)

you can germ inside as early as you want but just make sure you have the room and light to keep them going until it's safe to put them outside. they grow pretty fast.

Put them out during the 1st of May in the midwest, maybe a lil later depending on how far north in wis.

It's up to you when to germinate. If you start them indoors now they will be lil tall by the time May gets here. Tall can be good but they will be huge by sept.-oct.

I want my plants to be real short when I put them out so I'm thinking I will germ my seeds sometime in mid april and put them out in late may, which is kinda late but I don't want 7 foot mega plants. (thought about germing now and topping the plants a few times before they go out. Decided against it.)

alrite. is it ok to just put the seeds in pots and skip the germinating step? like well my plants be ok?

depending on where u are in fl tomorrow, it might not be such a good idea, i know theres a bit of a storm running across the east US!
