there is no clear way, it just varies from how you want them to grow. some people top clones some top early some top really late its hard to accurately tell when.

Generally at the fifth node or some wait until the nodes start "stair stepping".
thanks thats awsome info any more cool techs i can useLST - low stress training. I grow roses and we call LST, lateraling the side branches. It is done when the canes/branches are young and pliable. It works great with roses and pot.![]()

so should just transplant from seedling cups to 10 gallon pots, veg a little longer and top when my plants reach a certain height.lets say you are using 10 gallon pots with a 45 day veg it would only be beneficial to top just once. if done right you should be left with 3 to 5 main crowns which you will want to keep bending out through its entire life cycle. level canopy + more light to buds = at least 4 to 6 oz per plant depending on strain of course
