When to start new lighting

My plants have been under flouros for about a week 24hrs per day, and are looking pretty good from what I have read. I am wondering when i should change the lighting scedule to 18 on 6 off, or 12 and 12?
 
i used to veg under 24/0, i got a little better results under 18/6, i would put them under 18/6 now.

most people flower their plants when they have 4-8 nodes or are 12 inches tall....

this varies alot depending on your situation
