When to start flushing

Hi all I was wondering if you all think it’s time to start to flush my gg#auto yet?

Flush 10 days before expected harvest date, or start flush when trichomes are cloudy and harvest when they are 50%cloudy and 50% amber.

Ty if I start my flush when I see the first amber on buds for 2 weeks will that be about right??

2 weeks may be a bit long. The color of the trichomes determin the type of high you're going to get. If you wait until they are 50/50 Amber and cloudy that should give you a nice relaxing head high mixed in with a body buzz a little later. Tell me the high you're looking for and I'll let you know when to harvest.

I was aiming for about 20% Amber at harvest

Their is no amber yet, mostly milky with some clear and n w white pistols keep shooting out.

There is no discussion here of wiping.


I get all the wiping done before I even THINK of flushing.

That's his opinion, honestly his opinion doesn't matter. It's your cannabis so only your opinion matters. Now back to the topic at hand... if you only want 20% Amber, based on what you told me I would start flushing in 3-5 days.

We got us an expert grower here. 9 days on site and other opinions don't matter, but his does. Welcome to RIU OP.

9 days on the forum is not an indication of my knowledge and experience growing. In this case my opinion matters more because I'm actually answering his questions. He has made it clear he wants to flush. Hence the title of the thread?

That plant is 3-4 weeks from being properly ripened. Wait 2ish weeks and then plain water for the last 1-2 weeks if you want.

Well it looks like someone else is answering OPs question and has a very different opinion than you. Seems you might be wrong.

Maybe he doesn't realize OP is growing autos. I would have gave the same advice if they were photoperiod.

Ty all for your input! It is a auto so what am I doing? Feeding for another week then start flush? I am going to do a 10 day with ghe ripen and a 5 day water flush

Oh an it is 71 days old and supposed to be a 60 to finish. And the larger fan leaf are yellowing now so taking no more nitrogen. This is my 1st auto grow, so a little unsure.

That 60 days is under the breeders grow style though, so unless you grow the exact way and exact equipment it will be different. 2 extra weeks is usually a good time to add on so you should be close but could still need time.

So 1 more week feed the 2 week flush?????

I can't give that advise. I use coco. Coco has ZERO nutes in it unless fed. I use nutes up to my last feed and cut after 2-3 dry days. I do not flush. I cure well enough that nobody has complained about bad taste or ash. Burns nice and slow. I don't believe it does a plant any good in coco to have zero food for 1-2 weeks. Soils maybe to dilute the nutes in the soil, but i don't grow in soils so not gonna steer you the wrong way on that.
