I waited till 6 first time (and currently) as I wanted to be sure the roots were able to support such a drastic change of events.

Here's my full grow report.

I suggest waiting until the plant is strong enough to handle the cut!

While I have followed the 5 or 6 node, then cut to 3 idea a few times with success, I am now a subscriber of waiting until the plant is strong, well rooted and ready. This prevents wasted time of a weaker plant recovering.

Also, I used to train multiple colas by topping, now its just LST, saves time, and most importantly money.

Good luck growing!

So apparently I fucked up One of my branches I was tied down snapped try to put it back on but of course it was too small so does that mean I’m only gonna have Colas is growing on one side of the plant

You can retrain the other side dont worry. Just takes a little longer in veg. Just top the other side a few more times and lst it to position.

So we basically did all that for nothing. Good news both of the ones I mainlined flowered early. So you may have a quick plant on your hands.
