when to harvest?

I just wanted to know the signs as to when i should harvest my plants. the buds dont look like thick buds and its still has all thw white hairs coming off them. What should it look like when i can harvest them?

half amber, half cloudy alot of people prefer diffrent just dont let it over mature youll know trust me get a magnifying glass and look at the buds some maybe ready before others

ok well i screwed up from the beginning and over-stretched the plants. can i chop in half and let the bottom buds get bigger?

post some pics. thatll help.....you can chop the top and then let the lower buds grow more......but the main cola. the bud at the top is going to be your best bud..if the plants are stretching its because they arent close enough to the lights....i use a 600hps and a 400hps. my plants are 12 inches from the 600 and about the same from the 400.
