when to harvest

alright I have a problem. I am wondering when to harvest, the hairs are both red and white, more red than white now, and these are 2nd gen clones, any info would help.

The most precise way to determine your harvest window is purchasing a microscope to view the trichromes. Depending on what high you are after and what strain you are growing that will lead you in the right direction. Sativa plants...if you want just a predominant head high the trichromes under the microscope will look like mushrooms with a milky color. Indica plants..if you want a predominant body high the trichromes under the microscope will be more than 50% amber and 50% milky colored. There are variations on the two previous sentences. Example when I grow g-13 it has a tendency to couchlock you if you harvest when the trichromes are 50% amber and 50% milky white..so I harvest when it is 100% milky white to tone down the couchlock. I hope this helps. BTW you can get a microscope that will view at 60-100 magnification @ Radio Shack for under 15 dollars.

what he said... if you are going to take the effort to grow the stuff you can splurge the 8 bucks to get a 50-100x hand held microscope to check the trichs
