When to flush?

The last 3 weeks I begin lowering my PPM from about 1200 - 1500 to about 300 - 500ish and last watering is always just water. I have noticed on some of my strains my trich heads will really start to swell as the plant starts winding down and this is my trigger to start backing down on the nutes. But each strain is just different, so watch your plant and learn what it does.

---note--- my beginning ppm is 90ish to start

never flush fuk all, all that 2 wekes is BOLLOX, i just took a plant down 2 days after pk and still on base nutes, pot was still heavy (long story) dried out to 5z and was fine, smashed u and no nastyness in the taste

most i would do is 3 days water at the end, not flush as is 3x the pot size in water, total horseshit

I think flush depends on the medium you are growing in, the nutrients you are using. I grow in Coco and Use a Synthetic base nutrient and mineral organic additives. I flush 2 times the last week. I think if you use high quality nutrients where your salt build up will be minimal, you probably don't have to go crazy flushing. I've tried flushing for 2 weeks, 1 week and not flushing. To be perfectly honest I didn't notice any difference (good or bad) by extending the flush to 2 weeks. I would say I thought that there might have been a very small difference in taste with not flushing at all but it was probably more of me expecting it to taste different so that is probably the real reason I thought there was a difference. I would bet that if I did a blind taste test, I would have no idea which one was flushed and which wasn't. If you overfeed or use shit nutrients, I think flushing will be more important...

One thing for sure that we can all agree on is trying to flush a rooted plant in it's growing medium for the purpose of getting a better taste is in fact a total waste of time and effort.

What we can't agree on is my ultamate solution to the problem, which has been working great for me and other growers going on 30 years now.

What is this ultimate solution?
I have a semi(mostly) albino lady that's taking forever to grow..but if I keep foliar feeding it keeps chugging along..Ive never had an albino live this long so I'm hoping to get at least partially albino bud......

That's my ultimate cure/flushing technique or whatever you wanna call it...we shall see if it works...

seriously "flushing" doesnt do shit.

no other crop gets "flushed" before harvest, you just stop giving it fertilizers before you harvest, since the plant is coming down at the end of it's life cycle anyhow.

if dope was a perennial (that would be awesome) you wouldnt even consider starving your plant before cutting this season's flowers off.

Wow, quite a few more posts since I was last on here. Thanks for all the advice guys, appreciate it :) Yeah, its so true people dont flush other plants, fruits or vegetables, so why weed, but I guess my concern came from watching one too many grow guides, that all say to flush, but I def will go with all your advice, not to flush. The kandy kush im growing was more of a see what it turns out like thing, and when I had it outside for a few month, hardly gave it any nutes, have mainly started giving it nutes 2 weeks ago. But it def is helping, the buds have swollen so much, and pistils are turning reddish brown on nearly all the buds, only a few on each bud though for now (well was last night, may be diff tonight lol)
Ive been giving it fruit and veg feed, and its in soil, however, the other 4 im growing in canna coco, using canna a and b with them, so hopefully get better results, although my kandy kush plant is almost 3 feet, whereas the tallest one grown in coco, northern lights x big bud auto, is 2 and a half feet (but I do know its not about the height lol)
