When to flush? How to flush in coco?

image.jpeg image.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpeg image.jpeg Hello fellow coco growers this is my first grow on my own and in coco from seed to harvest this is my current run-super iced grapefruit 4x4 400w hid 2 plants in 5 gallon coco perlite mix scrog method(~38 tops remember first time doing scrog too) i have been using the full canna line with terpenator and earth juice calmag(using RO) I have been hand feeding daily about 3/4 gallon to each plant till I get about 30% run off I'm currently on week 7 and I'm getting to the point where I'm going to need to flush coming I was at ~1200ppm at full bloom (I know I was proberly over feeding but no defenciences or discoloration through the whole grow) and have backed down to 800ppm my plan so far as I learned, read, researched, and how my plants are looking is to continue to feed and drop about 200ppm every day or two till I'm basically down to nothing, then going into the "canna flush" for about 5 days (cannazyme and bloom) after I'm done with that since I over fed I was going to use final finish and then flush with ph water for about 3-5 days so since I'm on week 7 that would add about 10-12 day on to cycle does that sound about right? Am I over doing it too much in any way? Should I start to flush sooner? Any input would be great I know this could open up a can of worms but I'm just trying to get an idea if I'm on the right track THANKS
here are some pics from today

Pretty mush spot on I been growing in coco for around 20 years. And they look like they are still at lest 2 weeks away. I always flush with strait water for the last week in coco.

Why do people do this? Because they don't want to get whatever product they have been using in their bud to end up smoking it; such as pesticide. If they water it out of the soil for a good week, they can know for sure what they are smoking is pure bud and won't cause a headache. I never flush, don't worry about it; don't mess with pesticides or mix nutrient teas so don't know anything about them. What I do know is flushing may not be beneficial, but does it really cause any harm? It won't make any difference what you do with your plant the week before harvest, after growing with nutrients for it's entire life cycle what difference does it make? I am skeptical and feel too many are making too big a deal over nothing.

You say Shakedown. mix nutrient teas so don't know anything about them. And yet you are telling us how to grow plants. I would put my plants up agonist any grower here. And after all it strait water. Coco is a lot different to soil. Soil you would feed them 2 maybe 3 a week with coco you would feed them 3or4 times a day. I never used to flush until about 10 years ago I don't give a fuck what they say it makes a big differences at the end of the grow. It is no different then putting water on your outdoor plant

What if you use aero and there is no medium?

not trying to cause controversy or anything like that we all work hard to produce the best medicine possible that's what my goal is also I would like to note that with my friend and LHS have done crops and not flushed and flushed with the same nutes same medium and same strain as tests (along with many others)all said they could tell a difference and with my friend (just had a baby so can't help) I could tell a difference on how it's smoked and the harshness hell I might be wrong but i'm not trying to smoke chemicals I might be new to this but I'm not dumb to science.a plant needs light water and nutrients to thrive and be at its best when you feed a plant it up takes the nutes/ chemicals and what it does not use up it's stores inside and in the medium so I do see that a flush is necessary considering IF you want to get as much of that out as possible (at least I would like to) I could be wrong completely but from what I've researched tasted talked about some sort of flush is needed and since this is my first time on my own just trying to get some advivce to see if my plants are ready to start a flush basically about how many weeks are left? since I have never been around a plant everyday to see that changing characteristics of it

i'm not knocking or criticizing or saying anything against not flushing I am new to this one day I plan on doing the same test but right now I don't want to ruin my end product

That's wierd . My over fertilized unflushed shit sold just fine. And I've been smoking it today playing video games.

I guess my customers are all ignorant.
Maybe it's like the warner bros cartoon where if they don't know about gravity they don't fall off the cliff???

Maybe there just isn't any weed around what with being 2 hours from two different major cities??

All my mate say the same thing they can tell if as been flushed. It is a lot smoother I can not give it away if its not flushed
Yea everyone I have ever talked to say flush some say less and some say more some have different techniques but in some form or another they all flushMaybe only place I see where ppl don't flush is on forums

Yes its very sad. I guess this is what happens when it's been underground for so long.

I will start flushing my girls in 3 or 4 days they are close
Hell yea man that looks insane keep up what your doing!!
I also noticed yesterday when I last checked on my garden before lights were out some not all of my leaves were darkening up and they starting to curl up around the edge and I also noticed some nute burn ( like I said I knew I over fed some) but other than that things are looking good what I have done today is backed off nutes some more but my other thing I was thinking it could be is heat stress because of my temps resently have risen some any advice on what's the problem and anything I can do to correct it?
Here a pic you can see what I'm taking about

Yes I see what mean what are your temp it looks like heat
that's what I had figured too but wasn't sure now that you think that might be it I have a pretty good assumption that it is because it got cooler here the past few weeks as its cooled off I bumped the ac unit up a few degrees warmer and than the last week it got about 10 degrees warmer outside
my temperature ranges from 75 during the day to 65 at nights in my room give or take a few. temperatures been a huge issue with me this whole time since I'm not in a climate controlled room

I think you have that backwards, the only place you'll see "flushing soil/coco remove's chemicals from plant material" is on cannabis growing forums. I think it comes from the "I heard or my friend told me" method of growing. It's repeated often enough people have their mind's made up before they've finished their first grow in a lot of cases. Whatever you're doing you're doing it well your plants look great.
