Hi all

OK...Im in my 3 week of veg an Im running a dwc set up.
Had a problem with what seemed like root rot due the heat in the water. Res was already in a different room but the lamps were creating a issue. I changed to a beer chiller and now with a watchful eye i am able to maintain A FAIRLY constant water temp of 20/21c...
I changed my water after 2 weeks and then decided I had root rot and changed again this time wishing to add CannaCure. However the directions for use on the rear of the bottle are wrong surely lol....330ml per litre of water...
I left it with just distilled water and a ph of 7.2....
I also made sure my air stones were centralized in my buckets...three days later i have new shoots from the old roots...the girls are looking really good.
Im scared of adding nutes now...but know I need to soon.
Please help

Do you have an EC/PPM meter? Res changes should be weekly. If no meter mix at 1/4 strength recommended feeding to start.

the rest of it is simple @Woofpad

it is a 2 part system A and B u want to buy both .......use both in different amounts tho the life of the plant change the ratio as the plant gets into flowering
canna aqua vega....part A
canna aqua flora ....part B

here for the plan
http://www.cannagardening.com/growguide

this is the basic plan fallow it and u have your base line for the plant.......next time tweak the plan try to do better

Im uk in Spain...
hence the problem then...
part of it

the heat cooking the roots is the other (it allow bad micros to grow at a increased rate) that is the root slime /root rot

u just need to correct the micro imbalance the roots will recover faster plus issue will not return

a trick for u if notice the temps is getting to hot @Woofpad

betting it has a lvl hose on the side of the bucket
1 freeze water bottles with cap on
2 get a pitcher and drain some of the feed water into it
3 add the frozen bottle chillen the water (the bottle is clean the water does not get diluted from ice melting)
4 dump back in repeat until it cold

np man good growing

250 litres running through 20 x 10 litre pots running through a water chiller. I have two air pumps supplying air to every pot that being 10 a peice.
The air temp is controlled via air conditioning through this struggles when the 9 x 600hps are on, I try for 18c. In an attempted to lower the heat upon the pots and pipework I placed foil over through creating a air space for the cooler air in.
The drop was from 26C to 23C.
The chllier works fine during off and struggles when on...I additonally add to the res frozen bottles of water.
My girls are approaching fourth week of growing and are growing well. My visible problem was root discolouring. Going light brown. I changed the water for the first time at 2 weeks. Advice I took.
Two days later changed again.
Made the sure the air stones were directly beneath the roots in every pot.
Now after 2 days saw new white roots appearing. But I have put nothing in the water. But I have a slight yellowing on some edges and turning up which I think to be hunger.
I have heard that this particular set up requires less feed. An that my feed was to high.
I was adding canna vega in a 50ml/ 10 litre pot upon the girls taken it.
If my feed was too high and the temp then i have a problem.
My ph is running between 5.5 - 7 with no down being added
The temp of the water sits around 21/23C during the on and while off between 18/19.5C
I hope thats a better indication of my set up
Cheers
