So this is my first grow and i'm getting really excited!
Wanting to know how long these girls have left roughly? The tichs are cloudy/clear and am yet to see any amber.
Pistils are about 1/4 amber.
Been switched 12/12 for 56 days now, so basically 42 days flowering from when i started to see buds (2weeks from the switch)
Should i be doing anything in these last weeks and what to do before harvest etc?

Thanks.

I hate to say it but you still have a couple weeks left, plus 4-5 days to dry, then a couple more days or weeks depending on how long you can hold out:eyesmoke:
I say when you start to see amber trichs, its time to chop...imo.Dont worry about putting it in the dark!Plain water at the end.You don't want to feed this close to the end its a waste and let the soil dry out before chop.GL.peace

Haha lame :( I thought that might be the case though!
They've really started to swell in the last few days and a lot more frost :p
Will they continue getting bigger and frostier?
I guess i'll just continue checking for Amber trichs.
I fed today but didn't feed any nutes, just plain water.

Nahhh!not much change from here on out.Keep your eye on those trichs because you can have mostly white pistils and amber trichs.

Okay, thanks heaps man.

So if they start turning amber i should basically chop them?
I'll check the top and mid buds for amber trichs anyhow, so i'll try get a mixture of 5%clear,85%cloudy and 10% amber or something like that!

So eager to cut them! But want the most out of them obviously.
Trichs still clear/cloudy, have yet to see any amber..

Edit. Figured out how to take pictures with my camera close up (macro) and these pics are with HPS ON. <3 Settings.

To me, from these newest pics they still don't look ready. It looks like most of the hairs are still white. Waiting is the hardest part, I know, but it would be a shame to cut your girls down before their full potential. Take your time and good luck.

There done and fox tail has started. Extreme yellowing of the leaves did you feed them the last few weeks ? to late now but I like to keep my leaves a little longer.

Last time i fed was around 10 days ago, all the leaves are basically yellow/falling off crisping up etc.
Have yet to see amber trichs though, i'm not checking every bud though only random spots occasionally.
Edit: Also what is "fox tail" and what does it mean?

Yeah, i know.. i want them to be as good as they can be.
This is my first grow so i'm quite happy with whats come out of them so far, i only vegged for 20 days as well.

Id say chop them like a few days ago. If those r indica dominant. You know clear as it changes to cloudy signifys most thc. Thc is highest at the clear stage when it is fully formed. Cloudy signifys degrading thc, amber is something you def dont want.

Look at some high quality weed that you like you will see the optimum ratios for your own preference. Remember well cured cloudys will b amber.

Sativas r totally different and ignore everything I said.

The Northern Lights x Big bud is Indica and the Kerala x Skunk #1 is Indica & Sativa. Says 10 weeks for the Kerala and 45-55 days for NLxBB
People saying 1-2 weeks left some saying cut now etc, very confusing.
They look ready to me and the leaves are basically all yellow, i can't see them growing any or getting any better in the next week.
The pistils are mostly brown and mostly receded into the buds.

Remember this is my first grow so i only have a small idea if they're ready or when they're ready.
I'm looking forward to harvesting and curing! And especially tasting! :bigjoint:

I would chop them. It looks like you might have had the temps too high in flowing causing a bit of fluffy/leafy/foxtailing buds but you will still enjoy them. The next grow they will be even better if you can keep the temps in the 70's. If you wait any longer then mold might start forming on those necrotic parts of the leaves that are dying on the buds.

The temps never broke 77 Fahrenheit, i don't really know what caused that to happen.
Good to know, I will cut them tmrw night i guess.. Had a few ppl say to cut them now.

Is that measured at the canopy? If you have open bulbs without good airflow it might be a lot hotter than you think. Are you running any "No Pest Strips" in the room? I've noticed this problem with those around the plants as well.

Well i did hang a thermometer at the height of the buds with lights on and it never went over 77ish.
It may have got hotter on different days, it is winter here and has been for the last two months.
So i should def chop them both even though a fair few clear trichs and no amber yet?

Just a heads up. Most people wait until they are seeing a fair amount of amber trichs before they cut. A lot stand by 50/50 but I usually try for a 30/70 amber to cloudy. If you are still seeing mostly clear then I'd wait.
It can be hard for us to tell from the pictures so we can only give you a ballpark figure but you can reassure yourself with the knowledge that if you let them go another 4 days, they'll only get better. In 4 days you can decide again whether to give them another few. You don't have to be definitive and say, "They need another week and 3 days!". Just play it as it comes.

As far as the foxtailing goes, there are a few environmental factors that can influence their existence but don't count out genetics as well. Some strains just have that characteristic in their genes and they'll show up no matter what.

Good luck with your harvest. That main stem on the one plant is mad red. Wild looking.

For what its worth, I think they need some food and a couple weeks. But personally I like nice green leaves all the way to harvest.
