Hello there I just started a grow 2weeks ago. I picked up some schultz all purpose plant food (20~30~20). They just started to show the first real set of leaves. Was wondering when I can give the plants some of that and how much. Thanks
Don't give them anything until they're 3 weeks old. Then give them 1/4 strength nutes, see how it goes. They should welcome the nutes really easy. Next time give them 1/2 strength. There's no need to give them just water in between. The time after that make it 3/4. And from the fourth time and on go with the recommended dosage for your nutes. When you switch to 12/12, once again introduce the new nutes slowly. They're gonna be just fine....
I start off feeding nutrients when the plant is around 5 ince up till then they just get water and superthrive 1 drop per ltr.this could be where all your trouble begin if you put your plants on any nutrients only the smallest dose.then wait untill the plants top layer of grow medium is dry i put my finger down the side and if the top 3 "are dry then i would water again.
Well im using Gardners pride potting soil with Mg permiculite and hoffmans vermiculite. The soil has no nutes whatsoever i think 2 weeks they should look a little bigger. I think there moving along slow but then again its only been 2 weeks.
slow growth can be diff things not jus nutes ... if it gets to hot while lights are on .. u will see slower growth and if it gets to cold during dark periods again slower growth, also if your lights are weak in Lumens or to far away slow growth
Thanks Lax, mark, and packman I'm just swtched over to 400w mh conversion bulb so I'm hoping they come along. I'll post some pics to show youns what I'm working with.
